So just about every free webmail provider is jacking up their mailbox sizes, cept for hotmail. How is it that howmail (one of the slowest, most ad ridden, and very often down) is still so popular, just about everyone has a freakin hotmail account...

i'm ditching my hotmail. i tried doing it a year ago but everyone kept emailing it.. now it's all spam n other trash so i'm finally getting rid of it..

thing is, MS alwyas does this, they always wait untill everyone else inovates then they play catch up..

the next version of IE will have pop-up blocking, can you believe it?!

Look at the broader picture. The proof would be in that when Netscape died and birthed Mozilla, MSIE development came to a total screeching halt, and didn't start again until the Mozilla project, after years of dicking around, finally managed to create a product (FireFox) that anyone in their right minds would want to use.

This is still just a single example, so maybe I should have used the word "evidence" instead of "proof". But when you look at the repeated examples over the years, it becomes proof.

I can't wait for OpenOffice to become a viable product so that we'll finally see the end to the total lack of improvement that has marked MS-Office development since WordPerfect died.

it doesn't pick up spyware like a calcutta hooker picks up STDs. It's faster. It almost never crashes. It has tabs. It doesn't fuck up stylesheets the way IE does. etc...

Basically using it takes care of 75% of the security issues in windows that are all related to IE's bad coding.

I found opera crashed more than firefox, in every other regard they seemed comparible.
