I think you should be open emotionally most of the time (unless you're shutting down for short periods for a purpose like immediate dealing of pain...or focus as in sports etc... If you put up with someone's shit cuz you love them, you aren't closing...and if you don't love them, just don't put up with shit period. If you love them AND are closing yourself off, shit needs to change. Either sit down,talk and figure stuff out(love them unconditionally while they change) or move on. Changes in relationships aren't always bad. |
