So, where do you work?
What do you do? After some recent events, and a number of other things changing, and accumulating over the years, I think it's about time I change jobs. Anyone have any suggestions for me? Anyone's place hiring? Let me know! I can come in for an interview etc next week!

They hire at my work.
I have to say, it's phone central werk. Not the most gratifying job on earth. 12.50$/hour plus commission. I pull about 200$ commissions per two weeks. Sales, incomming calls. BUT! This is temporary, I like to work outside, I worked for 4 years total doing bird control. I wish I was still doing it, working in heights is the best thing ever for me. I had to stop because of lack of contract. Wich sucks, I had the best fucking boss ever, travelling all over the place and shit. Am opened to any construction work, as long as it up high.

i currently work for the census, it's well paid and all but it's only a 2 (maybe 3) months contract, so in august i will have to look for a part-time job (i'm a student). i'm not sure yet, but i think i'll focus my researches on jobs at the gov or at the city of montreal, i don't feel like shitting myself at retail jobs that pay only the minimal wage and always schedule you on random shifts

For the language part, depends in which kind of scenario I would be communicating/writing in French. Right now I answer the phone/door for all kinds of people, for all kinds of reasons, and get by. But selling/troubleshooting something on the phone for a job, (in french), probably won't be ideal for me. As for what kind of work I want, could be anything really. I've done everything from construction to ripping people off on the phone. Kitchen work to video game testing. Mover, bike shop, fundraising consultant etc... If the job pays, and I can do it, (without contemplating suicide all day), I'm down!

You obviously know where I work...
- 50 000$ per year, more when deployed and we dont pay taxes when outside the country - 24 paid leave per year (depending of your boss, sometimes sick days are not even counted) - Free dental care, free medications, free glasses (that include your wife/husband and children) - I dont wait 17 hours in the civilian hospital, I just go to the military one at 10 min of walk from my home. I wait maximum 1 hour...the fastest, 15min - Can pay 80-90% of my studies (University/college only) - Acces to a shit load of weaponry (YYYEEEEEEESSSSS!!!!) - I did my driver license with them...guess what, 0$ - I dont worry about my pension, it`s assured - Acces to a gym and a trainer, depending of your boss or where your based, its included in the working hours (about 8) I dont complaint!

I work as a Graphic Designer for Pierre Belvédère, a company specialized in fine papers, gift items and designer office supplies.
It's pure crap and I'm looking for work in a publicity/communications agency, if anyone knows of any agencies needing new talent gimme a heads up :P Dave: If you're not looking into anything specific and have experience in shipping or manufacturing, I would suggest you keep an eye out for big companies that hire. I was able to land a job @ a major pharmaceutical 11 years ago and the starting wage was 19.50/hour. Pharmaceuticals, food processing and public services is where the big bucks are at, they don't have a choice to pay very well and they usually hire in big batches. The only problem with that is that you get comfortable with the salary and most will tend to stagnate even if it wasn't their initial intention to stay long term (I stayed 8 years when it was supposed to be temporary before going back to school... I did, 8 years later :S)
