The difference between the old religions and the new ones is that the old ones consisted of a set of philosophies rather then rules, and whatever rules they did have were backed up by solid philosophical truths. Chrisianity has nothing to back up anythign it says. It`s message is to obey without thinking, and that is the mentality it spreads. People are entitled to their opinions and whatever path in life they may chose. Today religion is a rule book by which to live your life, it shouldn`t be that way, it didn`t used to be. This is why christianity is dying. This is also why ancient religions never died, not until they were forced to obey or die that is. With the christians came war and discrimination. Most of our society gave up on the bible and as a consequence we are seeing more and more improvements and acceptance. I don't know where you live. but I live in canada where non-thinking for yourself is promoted each and everyday. I call it politics. what? |
