JOY IS A WEAPON — a new event series rooted in the belief that joy is a survival tactic. Inspired by thinkers like Audre Lorde, bell hooks, and James Baldwin, JOY IS A WEAPON creates intentional, electric spaces where we move, gather, and remember that joy is not the absence of struggle, but our response to it. Dress code: wear what represents joy to you! Arrivals: we encourage you to show up right at 5:00 pm as we’ll be filming from the start. Release: the night will be shared on YouTube following the event. They provide free, confidential support with housing and tenant rights, social assistance, pensions, family benefits, and government programs, while also organizing around affordable housing, poverty reduction, and social justice.
