| Description: | BEN-HUR stands as the biggest-budget epic of the 1920s is also one of the greatest films of the silent era. What’s not to like in this legendary film? There’s a handsome hero who battles the greatest odds, old bitter rivalries, a quest to find lost love, a spectacular sea battle, monumental sets, superb costumes, exotic locales and a cast of literally thousands in ancient Roman attire. And let’s not forget the legendary chariot race that surpasses even that of the 1959 Charlton Heston version in its scope, audacity and white-knuckle thrills. Our talented line-up: Andrei Castanon: piano, Vanessa Marcoux: violin, Parker Bert: percussion, Éric Dubé: trombone and Shayne Gryn: pipe organ while the silent film is projected as vintage reels of film. All of this takes place in a stunning old gothic church which only adds to the thrill. Our previous screenings there have been hugely popular so please arrive early whether you buy your tickets in advance or at the door. (General admission.
