Description:

Of Pakistani descent, Zaid K was born and raised in Toronto, where he found an interest in electronic music around the age of 15 when he first laid his hands on an audio tape of Dj Theo. More into Drum n’ Bass at that point, the tape was soon forgotten until a holiday in Switzerland around 2000 where the Tip World’s Divinations introduced him to a new wave of psytrance. However, it wasn’t until he attended a squat party in Amsterdam as well as a festival in Belgium that Zaid K realized he wanted to become an active part of the psy scene.

That interest that soon turned into a passion eventually lead him towards mixing 3 years ago and ever since, he’s been developing a unique and cutting style.

His love for industrial music also reflects a lot on his musical style, which one could define as being heavy, dark and nonetheless very pounding…

Gaining popularity over the past year, Zaid K has a well deserved reputation, which he mostly owes to his precise and banging cuts and his killer stage presence, driving the crowds insane at every party he performs !!!

Giving one of Montrl’s best Dj performances, Zaid K is most definitely someone to keep an eye on. Further more, keep your ears wide open in case he decides to slip one of his polished creations in one of his sets, since his overflowing sense of perfectionism has not allowed us to listen to his own sound just yet…
