THE HELL OF DRUG ABUSE

Pick up almost any magazine and you'll find numerous stories about
drug abuse. Listen to any newscast and more than likely there is
information about another drug bust. Yet most of us have become so
immune to the scourge of drugs that, we barely notice the newsflash
and go our merry way.

While it is important to acknowledge and commend the gigantic efforts
of law enforcement, it is paramount to realize that, it is the
responsibility of every adult to join the war on drug abuse today,
before it's too late.

Shutting down the drug supply means so many of our teenagers are
protected from the hell of drug abuse and the seasoned addict will
enjoy a reprieve from their misery and subsequently see
rehabilitation.

Judging by the recent crackdowns, arrests and convictions for pushing
drugs, it would seem that the police, the courts and community groups
are making awe-inspiring strides, in the eradication of the greatest
menace to our society. Indeed we should be eternally grateful for
their determination to pursue and punish those who would dare to
destroy the lives of our most precious resource, our children. Not
only are they insuring an impressive future for our children, they are
also protecting our nation and eventually the entire world.

However, if we really want to ride the world of the hell of drug
abuse, we all have to come together and take a united stand.
