USERS WARNED OF OVERDOSE THREAT
Abbotsford police have issued a public warning about the lethal
heroin that has led to two confirmed overdose deaths in Abbotsford
alone from January to April, compared to zero in the same period last
year. There are more suspected overdose deaths under investigation,
said Abbotsford Cost. Ian MacDonald. There have been 21 overdose
deaths in B.C. so far this year, compared to only eight for the same
period last year.
Health and police authorities are warning heroin users never to
inject heroin alone and in Vancouver, to use B.C.'s only supervised
injection site.
