Pennsylvania Attorney General
Mike Fisher Announces BreakUp
of $1.2 Million Heroin Trafficking
Operations In Clairton 22,000
Bags of Heroin Seized

PITTSBURGH, In what he described as the largest heroin
trafficking case ever investigated by his office, Pennsylvania
Attorney General Mike Fisher today announced that agents from his
office and drug task force officers are rounding up 18 suspects
allegedly involved in extensive heroin trafficking operations in
Clairton, Allegheny County.

Fisher said today's arrests are the result of a yearandahalf
long
investigation into heroin trafficking in Clairton, which he
described as the "heroin hub for the tristate area." He said the
heroin allegedly originated from Bronx, NY, and the Philadelphia
"Badlands" area.

"Drug users from Pennsylvania, Ohio, West Virginia and even
Delaware would travel to Clairton to buy their heroin," said
Fisher.
