Police Say Legalizing Drug For Medicinal Use Will Only Add To Confusion
CALGARY Canadas justice minister should spend a day on the street trying
to enforce the countrys confusing marijuana laws before she considers
legalizing the drug for medical use, Calgary drug squad officers say.
The Controlled Drugs and Substances Act that took effect last May
introduced a number of new distinctions in how suspects are to be charged
based on the amount of marijuana in their possession, said Staff Sgt. Mike
Cullen.
"From my personal perspective," he said, "this confused the issue as far as
