BC MP IN HEROIN CRUSADE

A Vancouver New Democrat MP wants to forge a political coalition to fight
for the prescription of heroin to addicts. Libby Davies says she plans to
enlist fellow MPs in various parties to put pressure on Health Canada. Her
riding includes Vancouver's downtown eastside, notorious for rates of
drug-related HIV considered the highest in the developed world.
