DRUG COURT EYES LATE DEC. LAUNCH
B.C.'s first drug court could be "up and running" before the end of the
year, Attorney-General Geoff Plant said yesterday.
"Putting together the pieces has definitely taken longer than the former
government wanted it to," he said. "We're making good progress and I think
we are just a few weeks away from being able to get the project up and
running."
Despite the B.C. Liberal's intention to cut the size and cost of
government, Plant said the drug court wouldn't be a victim.
