ADDICTS TO INJECT, THEN TAKE A NAP?
VANCOUVER - A proposal to open 30 "sleeping rooms" above Vancouver's
supervised injection site will go to council this week. Vancouver
Coastal Health and PHS Community Services Society propose to manage
the rooms for users of the injection facility.
The rooms would be on the second and third floors of the facility in
the 100-block of East Hastings Street, and be available for people
with "special needs." Vancouver Coastal Health and PHS currently
operate the supervised injection site jointly.
