I didn't try it out with real people since I don't really play poker. I just want to code a game... Once I have the system fully working, I could write other styles of poker games since the system will already be almost all designed and just the rules will change.

Right now the game will only work with two players (the beta), but I'll make it work with up to 4 players later on.

So I'm finally making that gambling game I wanted to make for years since I'm fairly bored when I'm at home and the rain keeps me inside. I wanted to make something different then what everyone else has so I made up my own simple game but there could be problems with it so I'm asking if anyone sees any. It's a poker type game.

---

Both players put initial credits into the bet.

People are dealt 5 cards each.

FIRST BET: Players bet.

Each player can choose to discard one card.

A card is picked from the pile and placed face up. This card now belongs to the people who discarded a card. It's a shared card. If they didn't discard something, they can't use it.

SECOND BET: Players bet.

Each player can choose to discard one card.

A card is picked from the pile and placed face up. This card now belongs to the people who discarded a card. It's a shared card. If they didn't discard something, they can't use it.

THIRD BET: Players bet.

Each player can choose to discard one final card.

A card is picked from the pile and placed face up. This card now belongs to the people who discarded a card. It's a shared card. If they didn't discard something, they can't use it.

FOURTH BET: Players make a final bet.

Cards are shown and the winner calculated with regular poker rules.

---

With this game discarding a card allows you to possibly get something new and better; but that card is open for everyone to see. If you keep your cards your at a disadvantage but no one will know what you have.

Let me know if you think this could be a valid type of poker game. I've already started the game and hopefully it will be complete soon and people can go against each other.

One Melatonin (N-acetyl-5-methoxytryptamine) a week makes me have crazy dreams...

[ en.wikipedia.org ]

Dreaming

Some supplemental melatonin users report an increase in vivid dreaming. Extremely high doses of melatonin (50 mg) dramatically increased REM sleep time and dream activity in both people with and without narcolepsy. Many psychoactive drugs, such as cannabis and lysergic acid diethylamide (LSD), increase melatonin synthesis. It has been suggested that nonpolar (lipid-soluble) indolic hallucinogenic drugs emulate melatonin activity in the awakened state and that both act on the same areas of the brain.

It happens to me all the time...

The best is people asking to be paid for playing at the mountain... Some people can't believe people actually play music without getting paid.

Well the police said they got a call which claimed that someone had been stabbed. We told them if anyone gets stabbed we would let them know right away and then they said happy birthday and left.

The best was when the cops came for 30 seconds cause someone called them saying someone had been stabbed at the party. They left once they realized it was a prank call.

So people who complain about peak oil... Lets see the numbers...

This is for Canada...

We produce 1,300,000 barrels/day of oil...

Oil sands may represent as much as two-thirds of the world's total "liquid" hydrocarbon resource, with at least 1.7 trillion barrels (270×109 m3) in the Canadian Athabasca Oil Sands (assuming a 10% recovery).

1,300,000 * 365 days = 474,500,000 barrels a year...

1,700,000,000,000 / 474,500,000 = 3582.718651211802 YEARS OF OIL!

So they want to product 5,000,000 barrels a day...

5,000,000 * 365 days = 1,825,000,000 barrels a year...

1,700,000,000,000 / 1,825,000,000 = 931.5068493150685 YEARS OF OIL!

Besides pollution... I don't see the oil running out anytime in the near future with those stats... Even if we supply the rest of the world we would still have at least 200 years of oil!

Whatever the case, with people being paid 1000$/day we should all go to Alberta for 3 months, make 90,000$ and then come back here and party it up since if we don't do it someone else will!

Nah the new processors are coming out again soon. They will be a good 25% faster and considering there is no need to get one for 3 weeks, better to go with the i5 2500 when it comes out again... I want one also...

Damn for 1500$ you could get a super computer... Even a 1000$ desktop goes a long way.

Intel Core i5 2500 Quad Core Processor
Mother board to support that.
6 gigs RAM (3 x 2gb) triple channel...
7200 rpm black western digital drive (or get a solid state for better results)
24' monitor (or whatever you want)... 1920 x 1080 (1080p) wide screen...
