he didn't do it for free. he was paid a hell of a lot of money to do it. [ goldenpalace.com ] isn't his website, it's the largest online casino in the world, and my former employers.

the police can easily shut down your party if they have enough complaints about the sound, private party or not. Or they can just sit there and write you one ticket for every complaint that they got, effectively writing off any future parties as you either pay those tickets or fight them in court. They could also come up with a million other reasons to shut down your party. If they aren't valid, great, you can win in court, but that doesn't help all the partiers who have to go home early.

Was that venue burnt comment directed at me? If it was, I have no idea what you are talking about.

the worst you'll get is a noize ticket.

the worst you'll get is they shut down your party and you have to refund everyone or be sketchy and flee town. pick a smart location, not somewhere you are going to get noise complaints and keep kids from hanging around outside your venue.

it's all bullshit. i know who you are talking about who gave you the warning and let's just say he is a 5 foot loser who lives with his wife's parents and doesn't have a job. He just likes to stir shit up.

His warning was for the weekend of the 14-15, so the closing last weekend is unrelated. I wouldn't listen if he told me there was someone behind me with a gun.

cops usually don't believe that a sketchy promoter who can barely afford to throw a party is going to be able to hire a lawyer or that he has one on retainer.....not the best strategy.

mpg its a codec, quicktime is a player. I don't wanna be a bitch but it's just not the same thing.

mpeg is not a "codec". Mpeg is a video encoding format in exactly the same way that quicktime is a video encoding format...

and it doesn't matter if it was made by one person or by 10 companies together. quicktime sucks. divx wasn't made by a large group of people and it works well....the discussion is based on technical merit of the file format, not the economic circumstances of it's creators....

trix - there's not really any specific legislation against raves in quebec, it;'s not hard to find a legal location. and if you are talking about using an illegal location, or a location that doesn't belong to you or that you are not renting, then a whole different set of laws come into play, like trespass and endangerment.

Well known fact? No, so sure what you mean. What did happen to mdma production after 1989?

There never was a commercial production of mdma since the Merck pharmaceutical company filed for a patent in 1912. Only underground usage of the substance was conducted by the army, some therapists and few niches of people wanting to try something new.

I base what I say upon experiences I read from many users on such sites as [ erowid.org ] and Alexander and Ann Shulgin book's Pihkal. I've took my fare share of mdma to know that alot of what is called "mdma" today ain't nowhere near what it used to be and is mostly cut with other substances.

I'm sorry, but MDMA was legally produced and available for purchase in the US until about 1985 when it became a controlled substance, and was regularly used in therapy sessions. This "underground" usage of which you speak was unecessary as you could buy it over the counter in states like Texas, and it was commonplace. The websites you are referring to are not correct. Taking a drug is in no way going to tell you how pure it is, since you have no purity baseline to associate yourself to.

do you test your mdma with a chem set to figure out the purity?

if you started partying in 1997, how would you even know what pure mdma feels like?

i don't mean to be antagonistic, but it's a pretty well known fact what happened to mdma production adter 1989.
