That Spring smell is in the air, and with it we know that Montreal’s Kinetik Festival is just around the corner! For years now, Kinetik (formerly Coma) has been a growing and significant part of Canada’s industrial scene, and 2009 cements the Kinetik Festival’s status as North America’s premier festival for dark EBM, noise, industrial, and synthpop music. Not only has the festival expanded to include a fourth day, but this year will see several big name acts hit the stage including Project Pitchfork, Das Ich, Winterkalte, Ayria, Grendel, Assemblage 23 and more!

Artoffact Records presents the official Kinetik Festival Volume 2 double-CD compilation which includes 32 killer tracks from the festival’s world class line-up. Nearly half the tracks are compilation exclusives, while several more are hard-to-find rarities. Interlace, Noisex, Memmaker, Life Cried, DYM, Assemblage 23, and many more provide exclusives. Several other big name acts are remixed by the likes of Imperative Reaction, Combichrist, Suicide Commando, Blank, and Ashbury Heights. The compilation will be strictly limited, and as Volume 1 sold out shortly after 2008’s festival, expect Volume 2 to be snapped up quickly too. Released April 28th, 2009.

last time j'ai checker.. tous les bands de ant-zen se qualifie comme des band "noise" et autres sous-deriver

donc on va garder le mot noise.. ca va continuer a te faire chier.. mais le reste de la planete va continuer a pas etre offusquer :)

le probleme dans tout ca.. sest le monde qui veulent absolument tout sectariser les style (y'arrive la meme chose dans l'indust et ses 45 sous style) en bout de ligne.. ca reste du snobiste musical

tres franchement.... y trouverais ca platte je pense. Kinetik a pas pour but d'etre a se point "original". Les dimanche de C.O.M.A. etais la pour ca et la preuve a ete faite... ca jamais marcher avec a peine 120 personne vs 500+ pour les autres soir. S'est ben platte.. mais on fait pas un festival pour les 4 chialeux de mtl qui trouve trops commercial le mots industriel ou noise :)

parce qu'il ny a que 24h dans une journee, et deja l'an passé avec 3 soir de show + le rave l'équipe de prod a eu moin de 4h de dodo en 4 jours.. cette année avec 4 soir de show ca aurais été un suicide :)

donc oui on veu encore faire une phase hardcore.. juste pas en meme temps que le reste du festival. Donc il y aura un off festival hardcore a un autre moment doné :)

as for the hardcore night.. since there is only 24h in a day ( DAMM YOU martians and your 36h day!!!) we decided not to do a hardcore night during the festival.. aka sound check at 8h in the morning on saturday + a rave untill 10h am was a killer for the producers hehe

but don't worry we're still working to do a off night of kinetik festival for hardcore music lovers :)

and if you don't know the bands of Saturday night.. go listen to them.. they call it noise.. but for me noise and hardcore are at the same level of violent music :)

A special bus ride will be available at 3h00 am at Usine C to go directly to Theatre Sans Fil on Saturday night. It will be important to be on time at the departure point, there will be only one departure for this special bus ride at 3h00 am exactly. For the people that will have use this service, a return ride will be available at 9h00 am from the Theatre Sans Fil to downtown Montreal near Saint-Catherine and Berri corner. It's important to reserve this service in advance, this bus ride will only be available for the people that will have taken advance reservation!
