I said several years ago I wanted to move up north. Originally to BC area.

Well not BC but Im in Maine, and Eventually will want to head up for a visit :) And I am deciding on where in Maine to settle.

she cant make the rolling R at all. she can sorta manage a guttural R, but it sounds a lot more like a W than an R :P

since its still primary school, it wont hurt to let her try french. if it turns out she doesnt like it or gets frustrated, then no big deal we just move on lol.

My daughter wants to learn a foreign language. But she has a speech impediment. She wanted Spanish but her speech therapist advised against it because her biggest struggle is the R sound. She cant make it.

How prominent is the R sound in French?
I wanted her to do an Oriental language of some sort. But her school only offers french, latin, spanish, and german.

French is very different. I felt tongue tied trying to say it :P

Spanish speakers, im great with, i know how to say one minute please, and then transfer them to a Spanish speaking representative.

French on the other hand, I cant. And I tried searching but I have no idea how to pronounce it.

So I was hoping one of you who speak french and English both, could maybe tell me how to pronounce 'one minute please'

My daughter is 9 now :) and of course i have shared my love of anime with her (the good kind lol not the kinky kind!)

anyway. we are watching inuyasha. its one of my favorites. (actually it may be my all time favorite, but its close with witch hunter robin)

so moving on. we got into sesshomaru and his story. and i wanted to show her the clip from "inuyasha the final act" when rin dies, and sesshomarus mother brings her back for him.

but apparently its not allowed on american youtube!!!
