Anyway, something big is being worked on for May, I'll keep you posted once it's confirmed, incase you think you might make it to Montreal in the Spring :)

Yeh both are mental, I think I prefer Hellfish's productions but producer does a better live set. Definitely keep me posted, I may well actually be heading over that side of the country in the spring. If there are any sets going I would be very keen....... ;)

naturally! DJ Producer and hellfish especially are pretty big over here. I was fortunate enough to play at the same night as producer a while ago...he's a mentalist. Wicked live sets!

well I mix traditional gypsy melodies etc with electronic beats...lots with hardcore/hard tek etc, similar to ed cox as mentioned before. hard for me to explain without saying go on my soundcloud. its getting popular in europe especially, always goes down well at raves in england.

Of course, I play with ed cox at a lot of the same nights in england. Is that kind of thing big out here?

Shit alright guess I need to get over to the other side of the country! Zone-33 being part of the crew....sick as fuck. 'la foule' is absolute quality!
My mixes are more mash-up then just hardcore, [ soundcloud.com ] thats the kind of thing I do. I need to find the scene for this whilst out here, would be dope to play out in canada!
How big are the raves (outdoor, not legal/indoor) out here? Is there a good scene for that? The countryside out here is so sick everywhere I go I just picture setting up a phat stack of speakers and rinsing it!

Depends what you guys call D&B....in england its predominantly just shit commercial stuff that I have no interest in. But its a vast genre and some DnB is wicked.

Hi all,

Im new to canada, moved here a couple of weeks ago and intend to be over for a year or so. Currently living over in BC by Kelowna for the winter but then will be traveling around. In england I am part of a large soundsystem called Jigsore Sound System, we put on big club nights as well as regular raves (i.e large un-regulated events in the middle of the country....basically the best way to party!) I mix a mash-up of styles with my sets ranging from about 130bpm to 240, consisting of jungle, breakcore, hip hop, reggae, dubstep, hardcore, gypsy....all sorts of stuff. I have mixes and tunes on [ www.soundcloud.com ]
Anyway I'm not trying to push my shit, im far more interested in meeting similar minded people and getting to some good events. I see this site is more based on the east side of canada, is that basically where all the good music is, or can I find much over here on the west coast? I have only been away from england a few weeks but im badly missing good music! Where is good? What promoters can I speak to about possibly playing whilst out here? I have heard shambhala festival is good, but what others should I check out?

Basically.....in need of some good advice from good people!

many thanks
