Pour ceux qui s’intéressent aux Mayas et à leur calendrier, cette année le weekend du festival Éclipse correspond au Nouvel An du calendrier maya et ainsi que le day-out-the-time dans le calendrier de 13 lunes, calendrier que nous devrions adoptés pour adopter une vie meilleure... Ce sera donc des journées de fête à l’occasion du Nouvel An maya qui sera célébré lors du « Jour hors du temps », c'est-à-dire le 25 juillet 2009...

Le « Day-out-of-time » est célébré mondialement depuis 1992 par un mouvement populiste dont le but est de mettre en place un calendrier harmonieux et unique : un calendrier solaire-lunaire de 13 mois de 28 jours (13 x 28 = 364) + 1 journée hors du temps, le 25 juillet.

Jour férié, c’est le jour du pardon, de la libération, de la paix et de la culture. Cette journée est une occasion de faire l’expérience de la liberté d’être vivant ! Le drapeau officiel de la Journée hors du temps est la bannière de la paix. L’idée de la paix par la culture vient de l’artiste et diplomate russe Nicholas Roerich (1874-1947). Cette bannière est devenue un instrument de valeur suprême dans l’expression de l’aspiration de vivre en harmonie et pour la protection de la biosphère.

À quoi sert un calendrier ?
À nous synchroniser !
L’idée du calendrier est de se baser sur les constantes naturelles que sont les cycles du Soleil et les cycles de la Lune, afin que nous puissions vivre en harmonie sur cette Terre.
365 : nombre de jours qu’il faut à la Terre pour accomplir une révolution (un tour complet) autour du Soleil.
28 : nombre moyen de jours pour un cycle lunaire (mais aussi cycle menstruel féminin !)
On arrive donc à une année de 13 mois.
Qu'est-ce que le temps ?
Le temps est l’atmosphère de notre mental, c’est la 4e dimension : vivre « ici et maintenant ». Le temps est une fréquence. La fréquence de la synchronicité, véritable mesure du temps.
Énergie facteur temps est donc égale à de l’Art : le temps, c’est de l’art, pas de l’argent !

Surprise! For those who are interested in the Mayas and their calendar, this year, the Eclipse Festival weekend corresponds to the Mayan calendar's New Year... Those will be celebration days for the Mayan New Year, celebrated during the “Day Out of Time”, i.e. July 25, 2009.
The Day Out of Time has been celebrated all across the world since 1992 by a populist movement that aims to set in place a harmonious, unique calendar: a lunar-solar calendar comprised of 13 28-day months (13 x 28 = 364) +1 day out of time, July 25. The holiday is a day of forgiveness, liberation, peace, and culture. It’s also an opportunity to experience the freedom of being alive! The Day Out of Time’s official flag is the peace banner. The idea of peace through culture comes from Russian artist and diplomat Nicholas Roerich (1874-1947). This banner has become an instrument of the upmost value in expressing the aspiration of living in harmony, for the protection of the biosphere.

What’s a calendar for?
It’s used for us to be synchronized!
The calendar idea is based on the natural constants formed by the Sun and the Moon’s cycles, in order for us to live in harmony on Earth.
365: number of days for the Earth to revolve (a complete circuit) around the Sun.
28: average number of days for a lunar cycle (or a woman’s menstrual cycle!).
We thus get a 13-month year.
What is time?
Time is mental atmosphere, the 4th dimension: living “here and now”. Time is a frequency. The frequency of synchronicity, the true measure of time.

Domestic (Ido Ophir) is one of the most veteran artists in the Israeli trance scene. His musical talent is outstanding as each and every track that he has ever made has become a huge hit on the dance floors and in all the DJ charts. His debut album, “Art making machine”, is one of the most highly anticipated albums of 2006. Starting his musical career as a member in several Israeli rock and metal bands, Ido soon discovered his technical ability to hear frequencies like no other and so he started his electronic trance music project in 1998 with his good friend Miki Litvak.



As the years went by, Ido went his own way to produce his own music and he got to play live in many festivals such as Glade festival in the UK, Gathering & SOS festivals in Japan, Tribe in Brazil and on top of that he is considered one of the most busy DJ's in Israel as he is most respected in both the underground psychedelic movement and the club scene.

The full on scene has recently spawned a lot of new techno/tech house talents. One of the first to make the change was Freakulizer who is now also known as Khainz and other artists who have made the change include Wrecked Machines, now a part of Velkro and Hujaboy, now known as Jab. Former Domestic member Miki Litvak was one of the first to make the change though with his involvement in Elegant Universe, and on "Shnorkel" he is back with his old partner in crime Ido Ophir, who is now the single member of Domestic. "Shnorkel" is the first release from eVapour8 - the new tech house/techno sidelabel for Vapour Records, run by one of Australia's finest DJ's, Kasey Taylor. It was Acid House in 1988 that got Joti hooked on electronic dance music. It was also the same year that he started djing in bars and clubs around Brighton in the UK at the tender age of 17. His first international gig was in Paris in September 1990, at "Fort de Champigny" with D-Shake and other headlining acts of the time. It was shortly after this that Joti embarked on the next natural step, making music. Enter the Legendary Atari Computer, built in MIDI, rock solid timing and the original Steinberg Cubase Sequencing software. A marriage that would take Jotis understanding of electronic music to a new level. In 1992 he was taken under the wing of Dave Allen (most recognised as Producer of The Cure from 1985) and Andy Wright (Production on Massive Attack, Dave Stuart, Eurythymics) working as a programmer and given the job title "Groove Consultant", he worked with various acts such as Gianna Nannini , The Commitments, The Human League (Producer Mark "Spike" Stent). Programming sessions in top studios such as The Hit Factory, Rak and Olympic to name but a few. Around this time he started getting seriously into the london underground party scene and eventually one day with friends in 1993 found himself at an exclusive outdoor party at a remote quarry in West London, put on by a record company called Dragonfly. This was where Joti first got his taste of the Psychedelic sound. Mike Maguire(Juno Reactor) and Serge Souque(Total Eclipse, Antidote) were doing their legendary dj double act and Joti was hooked. Here he met Dino Psaras and Steve Ronan. They went straight to Jotis studio after the party and Ayahuasca was born!!! The first releases of Ayahuasca were on "A Concept in Dance", XL Records, one of the first Psytrance compilations. Ayahuasca also released on Dragonfly Records and followed up these releases with a remix of Paul Oakenfolds "Rise" on Perfecto Records. After leaving Ayahuasca Joti started his solo act PSYCHAOS, (which was the first time anyone used the PSY term in the scene), whose first legendary release Psychaos "Psychaos" was on the second Concept in Dance entitled "Tribal Science" released in 1995. This was when his sound and Psychaos became extremely popular around the globe playing at weird and wonderful places from Guadeloupe, French Caribbean, to Nevada Deserts "The Burning Man Festival", from Castles in France and Yugoslavia, Ancient Ruins in Greece, Mount Fuji in Japan, to Expo Portugal in Lisbon, Summer ski resorts in the mountains of Switzerland to the clubby well trodden winter circuits of Europe and quite a few places in between.




In 1998, with the setting up of Atomic Records in Brighton UK, and Psychaos as its first release, Joti soon became one of the top selling acts, and has certainly carved his distinctive style into the music and the scene, releasing such tracks as ; "Intellect" (TIP), "Perception of Reality" (ACID), "Chaos to Order" (Transient), "Creative Anomaly" (Atomic) to name but afew. Joti also enjoys collaborating with other artists and friends with tracks such as ; "Science Fiction" with Ben Watkins (Juno Reaktor, 'The Matrix'), "Outer Breath" Aztec (Atomic), "1000 Planets" with Paul Jackson (Dragonfly), "Dodgy Connection" with Tim Schuldt. To name afew of the oldies... In 1999 Joti released his solo album Psychaos "Cause and Effect" on Atomic records. This was followed by a string of releases such as the "Techno Logical" 12" and "Docklands State of Mind Vol2" (Docklands Records, Sweden), "Creative Anomaly" on Kiss The Future (Atomic Records). After the closing of Atomic Records late 2001 Joti started working closer with Neurobioic Records, Italy, managed and owned by Dj Edoardo Marvaso. In the last few years Joti has "put himself back to school", redefined his sound and technique and dropped the PSYCHAOS name as the whole PSY thing seemed to be wearing thin....he finished his second album , which sees joti taking a cleaner slicker production line under the guise of "JOTI SIDHU" calling the album "PUNKTUATOR" and the release being on Neurobiotic records in 2003. Since 2006 Joti has left the UK and has moved to Ibiza.....which has seen another change in direction. Now Joti has finished another album, JOTI SIDHU - "NEW SENSATIONS". Which features 8 tracks and two bonus remix tracks by Shanti Matkin and PTX (Patrick Chen). Keep your eyes and ears peeled for his distinctive sound and killer dj sets.

This duo is about to take you by surprise, not only by dint of their expertise and precision, but by a certain connection between Joannie Labelle and Merlin Ettore, the two percussionists who comprise this duo. They generate the humid passion of Latin, the electro-speak of the laptop, the rhythms of far shores beaten by hands on indigenous instruments, and the restless funk played by sticks on the western drum-set. Between them, they've done internships in Cuba, pursued advanced percussion studies, devised multi-media presentations, and worked the drum-set to frenetic heights. As you will see from Joannie and Merlin's first note, this is no thrown-together outfit. They've been active in the Montreal scene, adding finesse to their presentation. Expect great things from Blandilo.


Ce duo va vous surprendre. Pas seulement grâce à l’expertise et à la précision de ses deux percussionnistes, Joannie Labelle et Merlin Ettore, mais par le lien singulier qui les unit.
