indeed, twilight psy generally isn't that melodic, or if it is, it's not a happy melody, more spooky, but not like Frozen Ghost spooky, more like thunder clouds and lightning spooky

one of two things happened during Bamboo Forest's set.. either someone (maybe him) turned the sound up, which made the whole thing just clip and sound like crap, or his production quality is really very mediocre and that's why it sounded like crap.
in any case the subwoofers sounded like they were pumped too high... so little precision in the lows... and the mids were missing all night, but that's the opinion of a psy sound snob, also I was closer to the back of the room so maybe it was better at the front (i'm starting to get annoyed by people at parties having the sound way louder than it needs to be... we're all going to be hearing impaired i tell you! :D
