Is that to make [ xvi.ca ] ppl feel comfortable?

it feels weird.. you know.

it's kinda like slipping into a wet bathing suit,
or putting on used undies...

it's nice but I noticed that I can't link a page to show people a thread through MSN, for example....it redirects it all to the homepage

ya, the whole thing seems slower, and i have to click 2 or 3 times to go backwards... my only complaints, hopefully these will be fixed..

[ rave.ca ] is a slightly more tasteful url than "ravewave" imo., but really, if the site is slower it ain't worth it... anyhow, i trust noah to sort this all out in a highly effective manner

nah, it'll make things faster to load..

but it's not done yet, so no more complaints.

plus i just made a much less offensive layout for noah. much simpler.

With no frames? I'm really not liking this layout at all.

There should be an option: Hi-tech mode, with frames and all, and Lo-tech mode, which would look just like it did before all the bloody framing. Kinda like the BBS mode/Advanced mode he had going on.

Expert mode all the way! Which brings me to another anoying problem. If I want to get back to the "Discussion Board" menu from within a thread/section, if I don't click the link in the bottom bar and click the link in the "Links" on the left, then it doesn't mark any posts as read.

And then there's the whole not being able to refresh with F5 to see if there's new posts. I like using the mouse as little as possible, so it's anoying as fuck having to right click the frame and refreshing from the pop-up, especially since the option RIGHT ON TOP OF REFRES is "Print".

*kicks ravewave in the nuts*

what if there was no lower frame and only the top one. The Banner on top is needed and looks nice. But it would be more user friendly if all the links were on the top frame.

If you mean the left bar, keep an option or something to re-activate it, like with the BBS/Advanced mode, because frames on a message board is a reeeeeeeeeeeally retarded idea. The current Advanced layout is amazing right now and doesn't need tweaking of any sort.

Remember, some times it's best to not try to fix something if it's not broken. If you DO want to go ahead and change a lot of things, I suggest doing it with someone who knows things about making things aesthetic AND functional because, no offence, but you don't seem to have much of that when it comes to doing the layout for the site. It may be functional and easy to use for you, but there are a bunch of problems that just shouldn't be there (like the needing to press Back twice because of the bottom fram, or about 15 times if your in a user profile) that your answer is "Well, that's the way it is, deal."

Seriously, think about talking to someone who knows how to lay things out to work for everyone AND look good, because I'm going nuts here in Winamp's browser. ;)

Its a REAL shame IE doesn't use CSS's position: fixed;.

If it did, we wouldn't have problems:

Compare in IE to Mozilla (or supposedly Opera).

*kicks ie*
