what's a rave? how does it differ from a club ... ? funny, i thought both were supposed to be a form of entertainment. dancing? socializing? music? inebriation? hm.

[ Umm...ca ] someone explain what a rave scene was doing in a Dr. Seuss movie? The guy must have died before there was any such thing!

I've been an extra in a movie or two, not club scenes though. Three words about some filmmakers: No Research Whatsoever! There was a protest scene where it was clear the assistant director (who was the one barking out orders) had never seen a protest before.

Extras are provided by casting agencies and not all agencies can provide the required profiles. For example, in the Art of War, filmed in Montreal, the production needed numerous people of asian backround. Howerever, the casting agency was scambling, looking for asia extras because they was a lack of figurant in that ethic group. (Art of War is a horrible movie).

In addition, sometime the production don't have it in their budget to fund the extras and wardrobe.

They do have good representation of the club/ dance scene. TV shows;Queer as Folk, C.S.I. Las Vegas .

Movies; Kids, Party Girl (with indie actress Parker Posey)

Uhm a rave is where a freak feels like it belongs. Seriously. Dont expect it to ever change.
Ive seen the weirdest looking people at raves, and in pictures, I dont just mean the way they dress either.
