| Coolness: 685610 | Hate sells, and there is no such thing as bad publicity. If someone says you suck, everyone that hates that person has just become your greatest fan. If someone says your shit is dope and that they love it, no one gives a fuck and you get maybe a handfull of fans, because everyone gives everyone they know props of some sort musicaly these days.
If you want to get known, if you want people to talk about you, if you want to get people interested in what you do, you have to be hated. Religious groups have to boycot your music. You HAVE to get sued for inflicting some sort of severe emotional and psychological trauma on someone in one of your songs. You need to start a war of some sort with someone or no one will give a fuck about you in thess sensasionalist media days. If you aren't at street-level gang warfare with someone, you won't get anywhere, because you need to have people on oposing "sides" of something to get anyone's attention. When I'm done and ready to release an album of stuff, I'm going to make one song that is going to be completely diffrent from everything else on the album. No matter what genre that album is gonna be, I'm going to record a rap diss track to eminem. Then, I will post it online and go spam every single rap message board I can find. I'm going to make 365 CDs with just that track on it and send one every single day to shady/aftermath. Then, when eminem becomes a pissed-off whiny bitch and decides to put a diss to me and my stuff on his next album, everyone that hates eminem is going to jump all over my shit no matter what it is or what it sounds like, and overnight I will gain millions of fans and make millions of dollars, and I will sit there and laugh at everyone that bought into my "hater" image, make a diss song about my "stupid" fake fans, and then spark up more controversy, and slowly work my way up to the biggest musicial act since the beatles. Love brings you nowhere. It's all about the hate. |
