In the past month, I've gone through:

Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2003 - Damn good, too many changes that pissed me off though. Didn't seem like there was enough emphasis on the importance of the whole family, and there was no diner-table scene. It was still DAMN well done.

Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2 - Alright movie, has some seriously twisted scenes, but is a little too funny and light hearted at times. Bill Mosley steals the show.

Leatherface: Texas Chainsaw Massace 3 - Mediocre compared to the first 2, but pretty good. The swamp-fight between Leatherface and the black guy make the movie worth it.

The Omen - Classic movie. Real horror, dealing with religious "horror" (birth of the antichrist) and family problems. Good movie, very atmospheric, but slow, so don't get this if you like fast movies.

Undead - Australian zombie movie with a twist. EXTREMELY original, funny as all fuck, and great use of computer effects. The movie totally has it's own style to it and I can guarantee that it's going to become a modern classic very shortly.

Beyond the ReAnimator - 3rd part in the ReAnimator trillogy. Dr. Herbert West is arested and thrown in jail after one of his re-animated corpses kills someone's sister in front of him after escaping. Flash-forward to the future, the kid who's sister was killed has been studying medicine and gets transfered to work in the same prison Dr. West is in. Soon, he aproaches West and tells him that he wants to help him continue on his research of re-animating bodies succesfully. Prison riots, zombies, and a rat playing with a severed penis, this is a grea movie.

Underworld - Great movie, but a 150% rip off of White Wolf's World of Darkness series RPGs. "romantic" vampires with matrix-like martial arts skills and powers hunting down werewolves. Good action, great atmosphere and costumes, decent story (even for a blatant rip-off)

Willard - Growing up, Willard never had friends. His father died when he was younger and he is now taking care of his senile mother. One day, going into the basement to check for rats, he sees some and sets up traps. After one rat is caught, he has a change of heart and doesn't kill it, but befriends it and names him Socrates. Soon, he realises that the rats are actually listening to his comands, and he trains an army of them to use in getting revenge on his boss for humiliating him and trying to ruin his life, but things go wrong when another rat, Ben *giggle*, shows up and starts running the show. Ben, I think, is about 2 feet long, not counting the tail. He's a HUGE motherfucker. Great movie, a little funny at times, and rather manic at others with how much you can see the rage and hate that Willard has inside of him.

Scanners - David Cronenberg movie about people with psychic powers who are able to control other people or read their minds along with other things. There is one bad side effect though, and that is that the person you are "reading" can get sick, nauseous, have seiziures, and possible even burst into flames or have their head explode (which I have to say was the single COOLEST scene ever, the movie is worth it just for the head explosion)

Cabin Fever - A group of young adults go up to a rented cabin in the woods for a weekend of drinking and fucking, when one night someone stumbles onto their front door covered in blood and vomiting blood, looking like he'd had his skin melted off. They manage to get rid of him after he's caused a rather large mess, but they start to think... What if what he had was a disease.... What if we catch it.... And soon, some of them do, and some of them don't. This movie was writen and directed by Eli Roth, one of David Lynch's students, so there are a few moments in the movie that are just too bizare and surreal, but overall a good movie, with incredible shifts from being a near-comedy to horror that really gets under your skin (pardon the pun)

I love that movie! I think one of the funniest scenes is when the dad is talking to Christopher Walken... The whole "Sicilian" thing.

Man, that took balls. I loved it. :D

vampire hunter d: bloodlust is my latest aquisition.

solid plot, could be a little more substantial in places, but overall i found it enjoyable. beautiful, intricate animation. i was highly impressed, though the sound on the dvd is a little low.

serial expieriments lain. someone explain this shit to me... (the following translated from japanese) "why are you so cold?!! i'm going to commit suicide" didnt understand a damned thing. "poor lain". yeah i really dont get it.

upcoming: INNOCENCE. bwaaahahahaha if you havent seen the trailer for ghost in the shell 2 then you suxor. gonna be a very worthwhile sequel. wowow.

Lain is great, but hella-confusing. You really need to sit through all 4 hours of it to make any sence out of it, and even then...

I'd love to see it as a live=action movie though. They could get David Lynch to do it. :lol
