| The "story" is about as good as your going to get with a title like "Freddy Vs. Jason". It's cheesy and corny, and they've (FINALLY) gone gack to the 80's thing of having a few no-named big tited actresses spending more than enough time taking showers and running naked and having pre-marital sex.
The setup for the fight is great, and keeps in with the previous NoES movies (Hypnocil was used in either Pt. 3 or Pt. 4, I can't remember which though) and ties in the Friday the 13th franchise pretty well.
The fight of Freddy Vs. Jason is probably one of the most brutal fights ever. In most movies, at least one person could, y'know, DIE or maybe at least pass out or get something broken and the fight would be quickly over... Not here, they're hacking, slashing, and tearing each other's arms off and beating each other with them.
Overall, it's a very FUN movie. It's silly and makes you laugh, but that was the intentions of the movie. Anyone who xpects a "serious" horror movie out of Freddy Vs. Jason needs to get their head checks. Most of the acting is only slightly better than most amateur porn, but the movie isn't about the acting. It's all about throwing people to the slaughter like cattle and watching Freddy and Jason kick each other's ass!
Also, the director might sound familliar to some people. Ronny Yu ALSO did "Bride of Chucky". |

| When I went to see it all the previews were for horror movies so it made me think the movie was gonna be so much scarier.. at first it was.. lindsay left during the opening scene.. but after the first killing it kinda got bleh.. at the end the last fighting scene is SOOOO dragged on i couldnt watch it it was soo messy.. but funny at the same time.. I dont regret going to see it.. but if your expecting to get scared to the point of pissin your pants.. its aint gonna happen. |
