| I just watched equilibrium the other day, staring Christian bale and Ty Diggs. I never much enjoyed its concept of forging peace is to destroy human emotion.
The sceneries were well done. The costumes wicked and the action sequences spectacular (matrix style)...the fire arm just being an extension of the arm...i was amazed.
Did anyone else see it? if so did you like it?
I recommend. 9/10 |

| I've been telling people about this movie for 2 months now and for some odd reason no one ever listens to me about renting movies.
The story was great, combining Brave New Worlds and Farenheit 451 and throwing in action sequences that are reminescant of the matrix, but IMO much better done. None of this slow camera crap,nothing slick and polished, just martial arts and brutal fighting. The whole concept of the Gun Kata was great, I wish they would use that a lot more in movies, but I doubt this will turn into a series.
I agree with the 9/10. Very few movies are ever good enough to make it to a 10/10, because no omvie is perfect, but damn, this came close. |

| whatever you do don't rent The Crazies by George Romero cause the cover makes it look all menacing and sinister with guys in gas masks and shit but it's not scary at all. and i'm a pussy who had to walk out of Freddy vs. Jason

Nothin' like a movie that starts off with an explicit sex scene of a father filming having sex with his daughter, not having enough money to pay her, and telling her that he'd give the rest to her mom so she could pick it up when she came back home... |

| Equilibrium is only pretty on the outside, but distopian storylines are getting far too played out.
The action scenes were very slick, very tight. Wado Ke, but cheating with guns, but other than that *shrug*
The list of distopian movies grows ever larger and probally wont stop untill we are actually living in one those scenarios, at which point underground utopian movies will start being produced and yah, anyways |
