| I was at Arrival. In my opinion it was okay especially considering all the sketch that happened beforehand: location changed twice in the week before the party, and all that. Yes, there were huge piles of horse dung around (not that many, but a couple) and a friend of mine did complain that he was walking in shit, but I didn't see any tangible evidence of that on his shoes. In fact it seemed like all the piles were dry: like that's any consolation, I guess, when you can see 'em, when the sun comes up. Also a lot of no shows: Delta didn't play or Arne, nor did Ignition Technician or NYC's DJ Pauly, and the electro stage was cut... Maybe 5000 peeps were there, and one thing I must say was that the overall vibe was pretty good, people were dancing like mad, horse shit aside, and everyone seemed to enjoy themselves that made it out there. The actual spot was beautiful, the same place as Arrival 1, out in the cornfields, right off the 20 about 40 minutes away from downtown. The sky was really clear you could see the stars all night, it was fun also cause the big DJs Thomas Krome and Punisher each played two sets, I guess to compensate for the guys that didn't show. Punisher, by the way, stole the freakin show, she's really tight, really funky techno from detroit. amazing shit. But ya, a lot of downs to a party that still managed to breathe some life. |
