well his career as a cardiologist is over, and he will probably be institutionalized for life as a danger to society.

addendum: Well if they let him out I will be pissed.

Actually what I'm hearing is: 45 day evaluation, if he proves fit to be re-entered into society, they will.

I have a friend who murdered his aunt and uncle in 2008 and he's out walking around my neighborhood. I live right next to the Douglas. So I'm not too sure about life anywhere. They will heavily medicate him and put him through therapy though, Anti-Psychotic medication is quite numbing and sedating.

how can the law even accept the concept of ''not being aware of your actions" when it comes to knifing some children? I thought we were responsible for our actions. I'm starting a killing spree right away. I have a temporary mental condition I swear.

we, unfortunatly, live in a society where it is impossible for someone that have remorses and tried to commit suicide after to be criminaly held responsible or if you prefer "guilty"...

fuckin obsolete law system, fuck that jury of NOT MY PEERS.!!!

Innoncent until proven guilty but when somone admits that he killed his own fucking blood.....

And for fucking goddamn christ bitch of A SAKE..... He studied at med school.... don't those fucking peers could've think 2 seconds that this fucking douche has access to a fucking dr. pads and can prescribe to himself some fuckings things more powerful then antifreeze....

anyway im off of the subject now cause while writing these lines... im fucking pîssed!

I really don't think a dr can give himself a prescription.
If he can, that's messed up.

weird. here too i couldn't believe casey anthony got a not guilty verdict. it's even worse. at least this horrible parent in quebec will probably have a probation(like not being in contact with minors or having children) to respect all his life bc he was found guilty of it.

I think the jury made the right decision. What kind of state of mind would you have to be in to murder your own kids? You'd have to be fucked up and crazy. Unless your a sociopath. And this guy wasn't that. He's gonna feel guilty the rest of his life. I dunno, I think its a fair verdict.

I wouldn't feel scared sitting next to the guy. I doubt he's going to kill someone else. And hes shown remorse. If he wasn't in control of his actions, is unlikely to commit another crime, and is sorry about what he did...well, whats the point of locking him up?

The guy had no history of violence or anything else in his past and yet, all of the sudden under the stress and being subjected to rage, despair and rejection, goes and does what he did.

Can anyone explain to me the part about him being mentally ill in all that ? Shit was calculated to a tee. I've never heard of such a thing as "passive mental illness". Psychotic people don't have ONE episode in their lives and that's it.

A colleague of mine was studying police science or w/e it's called and we had a discussion about that and we explored both side of the issue ; he didn't seem (yet?) indoctrinated. I used to have a similar POV as you have ATM. You're found guilty of murder and you go to jail! I'm now happy with that. I'm sure if he went to jail then cried all day and did volunteer work and was all nice (jesus christ, jesus, JESUS!), that he'd go out much sooner.

he may not be a sociopath.. but he killed those kids out of rage and spite and revenge against his wife. and if I'm not mistaken, he refused to pay for their funeral? you call that remorse? refusing to help his wife pay for the funeral of his own kids after *he* killed them shows how completely self-absorbed he is. that doesn't indicate someone who is psychotic - it shows that he has narcissism...

an example of someone who was out of their mind would be the guy on the Greyhound Bus. anyone who decapitates somebody and starts cutting bits off and eating it in front of the cops... now that guy is batshit crazy. he was not criminally responsible for killing that guy. he was completely psychotic and therefore had no reality contact. guys like that shouldn't be in prison. he needs to get treatment for his mental illness and and he should never be let outside again.

this guy Turcotte.. he's not crazy.. he just flew into a narcissistic rage and took it out on the poor kids. he wanted to traumatize his wife and make sure she'd be left with nothing after he killed himself. but at last minute he was too chickenshit to follow through. I agree he's not dangerous.. but he should be locked up in jail for life.
