Any1 Here Go To Mutek For The Plastikman Or Nathan Fake Events??

 Coolness: 107235 | Was wondering if any made it to plastikman AKA ritchie hawtin Mutek or the edition with nathan fake??
IF so plz post how epic it was?? Nathan is way mellow so im not sure if any1 herr actually likes him.. but ritchie on alias plastikman = PURE GOLD!!! nehow.. Let us know!!!! :) |

I was a big fan of Fake's work when I went last year and it was REALLY awesome. I still have the set somewhere on my iPod. It was all of his works before his album Hard Island so it was not his recent stuff that I'm more or less liking (a.k.a. his remix of Piroth - Dance closer). Remakes of his old "harder" techno tracks in 2004 like underberg or bored of house into more recent Fake's tracks, it wasn't mellow at all and really jacking. Plastikman though......way too overhyped. As much as I like old school techno and acid, it was kind of boring at some points. Mainly his old tracks so no "Slinky" or so. Though, the last part when he played Spastik was awesome =). For the visuals...WTF?!? Big LED cylinder on which they show up visuals which are the equivalent of looking at your Windows screensaver? For a team of 30 people, this is minimal/lazy work. I got the reason "yes but it's minimal so it's normal". I call bullshit on that because yeah, there's always other things to do but putting some spirals for 10 minutes without any changes... |
