So a friend of mine and I realized not to long ago that we're broke :( and by being broke we can't go to nexus! SO we devised a plan, go out on a hot day, get all dressed up in our prettiest dresses and sell lemonade. brilliant!? I know right? so if you wanna stop by the park on St Denis and Square Saint Louis, right near Sherbrooke metro and Prince Arthur street, and buy some yummy lemonade for cheap, cool off, and hang out with a couple of pretty gals on a beautiful summer day that'd be a huge help :D
I'm feeling x_x right now.. |

I didn't know anyone and didnt know the city at all, so I would grab a coffee and go read a book in that park - it looked nice at first but a lot of the time it's pretty sketchy and gross. crackdealers and rowdy drunks and bums. it's a shame, cuz if they werent there it would be a really beautiful park but ya - Park La Fontaine would be much better |

I'l gladly chill and talk to anyone so long as they are a good person. I'm not a snob at all. I dont care if they are homeless or not, rich or poor, so long as you are decent respectful person. shit I lived in Parkdale in Toronto - I lived right in a 1/2 gentrified / 1/2 cracked out neighbourhood where there's all kinds of homeless people, crack dealers, junkies, thugs and crack whores. I'd sit on my steps late at night having a smoke and they'd all come up and talk to me and they'd tell me their sotry about how they got into the lifestyle they were in. the crackdealers would see me and just say what's up and give me a pound.. people gotta survive and some of em have been living in that hood their whole life..I was the new face on the block. so I'm not some snobbish person who thinks "bums" should be moved out of the city it's just that I've seen really really aggressive drunks there intimiating and harassing people right in the middle of the day, when families are there trying to enjoy the sun, walking their dog etc.. carrying on and screaming obscenities right in front of little kids. the one guy - who is pretty much always there - and always shitfaced drunk was yelling and threatening some guy who offended them somehow. this guy was walking his big old great dane past these drunks and got into an altercation with them. naturally when they started menacing the guy, his dog felt protective and started barking at them.. and when I came on the scene the crazy drunk was threatening to hurt his Great Dane - which looked like a very elderly dog too it was a prettty sickening spectacle. I felt like kicking the violent drunk guy in the head - and I fully intended to if he made a move on that dog. then 2 cruisers came up. from what I could see from the bench they didn't even do anything - the drunks stayed and they told the guy with the dog to ignore em and move along. whatever. like I said- I have no problem with people chilling in a park cuz they have nowhere else to go.. but it's a beautiful park for *everybody* - people should be able to go to the fountain with their kids or whoever and not feel menaced by crazy drunk scumbags. I also realize that there isnt really any solution to that. so I dont go to that park. that's it that's all. |

See what happens I think on the off days, they should use garbage trucks to pick up bumbs and drop them off in the dumps... but the pills, they may help the process... BTW, I think you would make a lot more money if you were selling beer in lemonade cups... just saying... Ufot-spare some change?

If it's any help, elements1234 posted on the Nexus event page that he's selling his ticket(s?) for cheap because he's sick. |
