Email Virus Spam

I now also get a couple email spams a day... I guess some old contact on my hotmail list got a virus and it spams me.. that's nothing unusual.. but I used to get maybe one every couple weeks ... not a couple times a day and the weird/annoying thing is.. when I mark it as "junk", I still keep getting spam emails from that address. somehow it still gets through... |

 Coolness: 108845 | I used to love ICQ! I stopped using it when invite spam got out of control, it never got to once a day to me, it was already uninstalled by then.
I loved putting the ICQ code snippet on my webpage (which wasn't much...) so strangers could send me direct messages. There was also many community features to meet other users and I made some penpals that way. Oh well!  |

ha good ol' ICQ... I never used it much.. though to this day, I still remember my number: 98984143 =) funny thing... this DJ I knew back in Toronto - he actually met his girlfriend on ICQ !! get this... he hit random chat button... and her name was the first one that popped up.. so that was how they found each other they got chatting, decided they liked each other... and then she flew over - *from Australia* !!!! - to be with him and boom - all of sudden he had this Aussie girlfriend living here and coming out to the parties - she's pretty hot too! it lasted maybe a year, they got on each other's nerves, he dumped her, and she went back to Australia. but yeah... point being - she was from ICQ |

I know my Gmail got compromised on Weds, and EVERYONE of my contacts got at least three emails form me. Sucks too, because I use IMAP I can see exactly when the emails were sent, and now I am constantly getting returned messages for all the old useless email addresses in my contact list.... Some fucker from Poland managed to get into my account. |

I've just been getting it from random people I havent been in touch with for years... in some cases dont even remember who they are.. just peeps I've sold records too or whatever how do you know the guy is from Poland? |

| Coolness: 103295 | Gmail allows you to check recent activity on your account, and I was able to see that at 2:45 pm someone from Poland logged into my acccount...Sure they could be anywhere in the world using a proxy, but they definitely managed to log into my account somehow.
I'm surprised you didn't get it tho, cuz seriously EVERYONE got it. |

Part of my job that I was paid to do was to use people's passwords they used on the dating site and log into their Hotmail accounts,, rip their contact list and send emails to everyone in the persons contact list an email to tell them to joint the dating site I was working for... I would email the people using their accounts. Obviously after some time of doing that I was like this is not exactly good to do but the company would continue to use the code I made for them even after I left that company. I'm sure it's a similar script you got screwed with. Always use different passwords on every site... Use a pattern that will make a unique password for every site but that you can figure out... Chances are programs like the ones I made won't figure out your pattern... |
