Coolness: 73060	There's an actual club in Dominican republic inside a cave similar to that. It was like made to fit maybe 4000-5000 people. Really crazy experience... the entire time all I imagined was like a crazy rave down there. There were like tunnels, a crazy like lounge area way up high like 30 ft. And bottles of rum were like 25$. I think they're pretty safe... if people dynamite and use jackhammers inside caves and they don't collapse I doubt a few Decibels are gonna bring the roof down. You can see the supports in the vid so it's def a legit venue. And the sound wasn't bad at all, it all depends on the shape of the room and where the speakers are placed. Actually just the irregularity of the walls and roof cause the sounds waves to diffract. So there be less standing waves/phase issues.

Coolness: 131570	sound low enough will degrade a lot more when bouncing off a wall and althou a cave must have a terrible sound signature , im shure like sabi said , can be use inteligently. but i am still concerned over the fact of having a bar in a cave without reinforcements, even if the rock is hard , volcanic area all that junk , ( just look at the island of malta /w all the epic museum that freaks out over erosion from sound , people and all that , same in south america's aztek piramids etc.. ) so imo rubbing sound on rock all day is pretty crazy in the long run. imagine the headlines , party-cave crumbles , who would have known :C
