THURSDAY DECEMBER 17th will mark the end of BEAT ME UP ELECTRO THURSDAYS at Saphir. After 3 years at Saphir every Thursday, I have made the decision that it is time move on and move up, and start on a BRAND NEW PROJECT that has all sorts of wonderful potential and I hope you will ALL be a part of it because YOU are what made Beat Me Up the success that it was. Stay tuned for more info…. ;) What started as a shitty Sunday night eventually became one of the best known club nights in Montreal and one of the most fun nights to play in the city, according to too many Montreal DJs to name. Who would have thought? What made Beat Me Up so special was the eclectic mix of people who came through on a weekly basis. The straights, the gays, the fashionistas, the students and just plain weirdos who wandered in were key in the recipe for success of the night – A mix of all sorts of people that were united by a soundtrack of the right music playing in the background. Beat Me Up has the best crowd in town and it’s all because of YOU! Still, all good things come to end and I am happy that I can leave the night with not only a smile on my face and a BRAND NEW project on the horizon, but most importantly with all the amazing memories as well. I want to thank all the staff, all the amazing DJ'S who rocked the place, and everyone who came out week after week and made Beat Me Up as special as it was. We will be using the same group (though changing the name) as well as continuing to use our friends lists in invite people. If invites are a problem for you, you can feel free to remove yourself from the group, if you are in it, or if it's really that big a deal, just remove Mary and/or I from your friends list, and that should solve the issue. |

I've even sent messages to some of these people who send the invitations, to stop sending me invites since I'll NEVER go, but it still persists!!! haha, anyways, should be a dope jam on thursday... how is everyone gonna play tho? that's gonna be a lot of traktor/serato/etc hooking in and outs no? hehe |
