The 2010 Raev-Waev Elections: Part I - The Nominations

 Coolness: 93525 | Due to widespread allegations of voter fraud and corruption, the "Ministry of PLUR" is taking over this years elections process. After much discussion with various stakeholders of stature, the election time line has been set, and Tipsy has given the go ahead to call the annual election.
The time-line for the elections process is as follows: Dec 3-7: Part I: The nomination process Dec 8-11: Part II: Speeches, Campaigns and other Shenanigans Dec 12-14: Part III: The election Part I, the nomination process, begins with the posting of this thread. You can nominate yourself or anyone else for Ravewave President by posting in this thread. Please note that this year, unlike prior years, nominations can not be rescinded or declined. If nominated, you will have to run. The nomination process will end on 11:59pm EST on December 7th, 2009 -- -- -- -- -- To kick off the nomination process, I nominate Tipsy (our current president) for President. Tipsy has held this position since 2003.

Lack of drama is the number 1 cause of boredom in raver youth these days. Vote for Tipsy, vote for drama. Tipsy for president 2010! |

Vice-President of Ravewave would go to Mickos, for his deep understanding of the scene and it's underlying drama. Minister of Plur would go to Gamos for a second mandate. Minister of Sketchy situation irrevocably goes to Dee for reasons obvious to all good ravewave citizens. As part of my mandate, I understand that while Drama is the lifeblood of our scene, without dedication to the cause and Glamour, all this drama goes unwitnessed and thus, inevitably sends our scene down the downward spiral of recession and slows our growth. Which is why I will dedicate my efforts this year in bringing the Glamour back to our scene and export out local products (and associated drama thereof) as to increase the influence of ravewave through geographical space as well as time. To this end, I will establish a full-fledge department of Glamour to oversee all scene activities and sanction where needed on the basis of lack of style, fail, and otherwise un-glamorous conduct.
