Coolness: 107265	Hey anyone got a portable internet connexion? ill pay 1/2 of the monthly fee + you get free access to the beet harvest Me and a friend will be hosting a radio show live and all we are missing is internet access. Pm me if interested or if you can help.

Coolness: 131625	protip : bring a vhs , and dump the whole thing on a few 6 hour cassette. then broadcast on the net. at least you wont end up with a bsod or some other problems that can arise from field recording with a computer (especially when + 2 hour dump chunk)

Coolness: 685620	yeah.. the only "portable" internet conections are 3G, unless you're leeching off someone else's internet.. DSL needs a special filter on the line, so you can't just take your modem and plug it into any phone like and expect it to work.. same with cable.. You need a venue/location that's already got internet access, or just record the sets and then broadcast..

Coolness: 131625	you expect to stream and record at what quality using what computer specs jeepee ? also for how long ? will there be walls and a roof there ? will you be using more than one broadcast or you want a whole-in-one solution ? i dont think using 3Gs phone would be much quality (inputs on a phone, is it even 16 bits at least (when rec from them ?)) much bottle necking comes in wifi too. anyways , good luck , youll need it. like i said in other words, you will need much bidirectional width from your isp and your computer. completely feasable, these are the physics of it
