holy fuck..! o_O

he seemed reluctant to get down off the train, but standing up and giving the wire a high-five didn't seem dangerous to him?

of course, the city should also probably move that wire a little higher off the ground, maybe...

they get high and ride (normally trains not tramway) them cause they dont have hi speed internet.

africa even have a problem where its an extreme sport phenomenon and kids huff glue and think their the shits on top of trains.

trains were already crazy enough , tramway is like pissing in your toaster while baking some.

oh and i lost : i laughed :3

You have to remember that India does not have the same mentality as us regarding safety, human lives etc.
It's just a completely different way to see thing. Which is not better or worst, only really really really different...

It's a snuff film because someone actually dies in it.

Well, whatever his requests were, it doesn't matter anymore.

I'd hate to be the janitor that has to clean the top of that train from the caked-in flesh afterwards.

His death was, well, electrifying.

that's gruesome. I, for one, don't enjoy seeing some fucked up tortured individual commit suicide.

something about the internet man... all this nasty shit available to watch without knowing the people involved or experiencing it firsthand...

it's gonna turn a lot of kids who watch this shit into psychopaths.

I find it disturbing at how entertained people can be by other people's injuries and/or deaths.

go on youtube and watch some crazy video and look at the comments people post. they think the shit is funny. a lot of the people posting comments are probably in high school, or even grade school

kids watch brutal videos of people being beaten up and fucked up, they see suffering as a legitimate source of entertainment.. well they'll probably find it entertaining in real life too

now anytime there is drama or some shit going down.. instead of helping, some guy will have his camera out, videotaping it so he can post it on youtube. then the video just degrades the victim even further, posted up for millions of viewers to watch as many times as they like

I dunno. in terms of how we interact with each other, i think it's a disturbing trend

it is what it is, but whatever it is, it's not good

Action, sci-fi, horror, comedies, the news..

Welcome to the real world; people have ALWAYS been entertained by violence and death.

Wether it's The Predator decapitating, skinning and then hanging people upside down, hearing Mitsumi Takahashi talk about a preschool run by pedophiles, watching Ben Afleck have a little dog bite his dick, watching Jackass, or throwing christians to the lions and then watching the gladiators kill themselves, we've ALWAYS found that watching people suffer and/or die is our favorite form of entertainment.

i think its pretty educative.

seeing actual electrical accidents is "good" since ppl can not see that energy in their daily lives and dont realise its implication towards the fragile human body.

heh - ya well I agree with you and Screwhead to a degree.

a certain percentage of the people, and maybe a certain percentage within all people, always have been been fascinated or entertained by violence and brutality.

but as for not watching it. sure. I have the choice not to do that. but lots of kids can sit on a computer and watch hours of real life footage of brutality.

must surely have a desensitizing effect. when I was a kid the ONLY thing that came close was when we somehow managed to watch a copy of Faces of Death in grade 8 (which I would never wanna watch now)

now they can watch much worse with the click of a mouse.

I think the phenomenon of kids videotaping schoolyard assaults is case in point. back when I was in grade school, sure - most red-blooded boys will scrap. it's natural.

I got in scraps with people over bullshit, we give each other a black eye, and then literally wound up becoming friends and laughing about it later.

point is - the initial encounter is forgotten. usually, back in the old days, the guys scrap it out, and assuming there was fairplay, that is the end of it.

aside from the people involved and a small crowd of onlookers, it fades from memory.

but when the vitim's peers tape it and upload it to youtube, where it can be watched and judged by millions of strangers outside the area you were born in, it changes things.

the stigmatizing effect is really harmful, I think. makes it impossible for it to be forgotten and for the person to outgrow it and move on - which by all means they should be allowed to do. instead people can take a few frames of that person's darkest moment and make an animated .gif of it that can spread all over.

and the way things are presented, too, primes kids that this is not only news - it is something comical and amusing

instead of a news blurb - "Suicidal man electrocutes self in india" - people post the vid as "idiot on train gets PWNED by power line" - and not just this case but many many others where the immediate reaction to some ugly incident is schadenfreude

anyway i am being analytical but just my 0.02 =)
