Raggacore?

Coolness: 86200	Yes, raggacore. Kinda like ragga jungle, but instead of jungle, breakcore. Now, that we have that sorted out, are there any producers out there that make this type of music? I've heard a couple of tracks that fit this criteria by Venetian Snares, but that's pretty much it.

Coolness: 76820	Bong Ra, Shitmat, Aaron Spectre, FFF, Enduser, Cardopusher, DJ Scud, for starters. These are some of my favourites, best tracks being Shitmat's "Night of the Scorpion" and FFF's contribution to the Dubplate War disc. AFX did this track called "Run the Place Red" which is also fucking badass. [ www.raggacore.com ] (A tasty track from Shitmat's 2007 release "Grooverider".)

Coolness: 86615	I heard a good ragga-breakcorish track a label called Ambush (think it's German). but I am pretty out of the loop. Fishead, or Luke Peril or Jahstyle would probably know. ah - Luke's already got ya covered I see =)

Coolness: 76820	Odie knows nothing of raggacore, I've talked to him about it before and he thought it was some kind of wankerish piss-take on ragga jungle. That's not a very fair assessment, but yeah, breakcore to jawa is known for making fun of itself.

Welcome To The Warren and Snipers At Work were really sick for the time. Panacea's Tron/Torture 12" is also hard as hell... stay away from the remixes, though... the Torture remixes that came out years later are total shit. Scud's release on Rephlex is a decent starting point... it's a decent overview of his work, although it's missing some keys tracks (notably Total Destruction and Mash The Place Up). Kid 606 has done some stuff along these lines, and the Tech Level 2 release on the ShockOut label is interesting (for those unaware, Tech Level 2 is the drum'n'bass alter-ego of Justin Broadrick)... for the most part, though... I couldn't really care less what 'genre' something falls into.

	I'm feeling new records right now..
