 Coolness: 32010 | CVAP LE SOCIAL FUNDRAISER
Location: Le Social, 1445 Bishop St. (cross street De Maisonneuve) Date: Thursday April 9th Time: 8pm to 3am Tickets: 5$ in advance, 7$ at the door. A group of us concordia students are heading to Uganda for two months this summer and we are having a fundraising party on Thursday April 9, from 8pm to 3am at Le Social, to help raise money for the Gulu Community Development Fund which will support projects that Concordia Volunteer Abroad Program will be carrying out in Uganda. There will be two floors with different Dj’s, featuring the sounds of Jus Frais, DJ Perks and DJ InYourFace. There will also be special prices on domestic beer and 5$ pints! Popcorn and other snacks will also sold after 11. Tickets are $5 in advance and $7 at the door. There will be tickets available at the mezzanine (2nd floor of the Hall building downtown Concordia Campus) Monday through Wednesday. The Concordia University Volunteer Abroad Program is a non-profit, student founded organization that was created in 2004 by two Arts and Science students. Every year CVAP sends student volunteers to Northern Uganda, to work on a wide variety of projects that work with a lot of community based organizations on projects that are self sustaining and empower the local population.
