mu - read second update , not first , wrong copy paste...
Update » cutterhead wrote on Wed Mar 25, 2009 @ 12:07am
Some earlier Buddhist thinkers had maintained that creatures such as dogs did have the Buddha-nature; others, that they did not. Therefore, to answer "no" is to deny their wisdom, whereas to say "yes" would appear to blindly follow their teachings. Zhaozhou's answer has subsequently been interpreted to mean that all such categorical thinking is in fact a delusion. In other words, yes and no are both right and wrong. This Koan is traditionally used by students of the Rinzai school of Zen as their initiation into Zen study.

According to the Jargon File, a collection of hacker jargon and culture, mu is considered by Discordians to be the correct answer to the classic logical fallacy of the loaded question "Have you stopped beating your wife?".[1] Assuming that you have no wife or you have never beaten your wife, the answer "yes" is wrong because it implies that you used to beat your wife and then stopped, but "no" is worse because it suggests that you have one and are still beating her. As a result, various Discordians proposed mu as the correct answer, alleged by them to mean "Your question cannot be answered because it depends on incorrect assumptions" (or, in the original phrasing, "the answer lies outside the context framed by the question/assertion/statement").

what do you mean by crazy? are you talking about having a crazy personality like 4 example a guy like johnny knoxville or crazy like mental?

if you are talking about mental disorder, very extreme compulsion, very extreme addiction or very un normative deviance etc.. personally i only believe that someone have a mental disorder when it is chemically induced by example an imbalance in hormone or brain chemical like serotonin or dopamine...etc that for sure i believe require treatments and medication.. but that's just a very small portion of society who's born like that or "fall" sick this way..

this certainly doesn't explain the enormous amount of prescriptions in western civilizations..

mental disorder like example episodic depression etc.. well i'm really into the sociology theory for that one much more than the psychological freudian school..

anyway both school of though are interesting and i'm not denying the freudian work here at all.. i really think that the human is a creature of desire living on motivation by his unconscious and the balance made bet. his id, ego and super ego but sociology permit to "fix" a lots of individuals at the same time not psychoanalytic theory...

i don't think these cases can be "fix" w/ treatments like medication or else///

because THE SOURCE of these disorder are not related to a chemical imbalance or to the individual as a specific.... (the proof is that so much people take pills and are easily labeled as mental these days..)

it is caused by role strains or role conflict or status inconsistency experienced by a lot of people in their society or immediate environment.

so ya. the pharmaceutical industry and present system/society are using this as a mode of coercion for the population any doubt about that..

i say: MORE SOCIOLOGISTS! LESS PSYCHIATRISTS! bhahaha

mmm wait i totally have digressed what was the question already???

do you think that crazy people think that they are crazy,

in a lots of mental disorder, it's one of the first thing noticed// the person don't realized what's happening once immersed in a full on episode/

you tell the person the shadows are not speaking to them.. you telling them that no one is here to get them.. their act are totally irrational and inappropriate but for them it makes total sens.they don't believe you..they don't believe they are "crazy"..

i had a best friend like that. one of the most intelligent person i've met in my life. he had such an impressive education and he had so much knowledge..he had study w/ some of the greatest of cinema in france. he was very rich and had power so it was even harder for his employees and friends to tell him that he was going nutso..i assisted him during 2 episodes during the 5 years we were having a strong friendship.. i wouldn't have do that for nobody else b/c him, i loved him. the hospitalization...everything... at some point we were living in the same condo and it drained my emotions and my own psychological balance..

at the beg. he was realizing that he had symptoms and that a crisis would come but during the climax of his psychosis it was amazing how he was not the same and he did the most deviant things i ever saw someone do.. if i would tell you what he was doing you guys wouldn't believe it! it was terrible.

it was so sad to see someone that strong becoming that "crazy"... like the person that you admire the most becoming the person that you are too much ashamed to go eat out at restaurant w/. and you know the worse was for him.. when we were remembering him what he did once the crisis was over.. he was extremely ashamed too..

it was so sad. :(

but i do think that someone in a full on depression episode really see that something is wrong.. but cannot understand it and take proper actions often..

in the case of compulsion or addiction.. well denial is always at the rendez-vous.. so deep down people do know that something's wrong but it's a strong part of the "sickness" to deny it.. and there's so many forms of denial..

if you think that you are crazy are you crazy?

mmmm i think that everyone of us have crazy thoughts or weird one... and majority of times because i'm sane... they stay in where i call: "my secret garden". bahahha i think it's all depend about how we feel about those.. if we are taking action... you know stuff like that...

ps: wow for an other rant even if i'm not sure i understood what you meant at the beg. yo! bahhaha
I'm feeling hitched right now..

i don't think crazy people think that they r crazy, but when u try to explain to them that they r crazy; they think u r crazy because they think that what they do is normal, when u explain to them normal people don't do that, they think u r abnormal for thinking that what they do is abnormal omg my head hurts!!!

what i like about the people you call crazy, it's that they don't give a shit

i don't think they ask themself, am i crazy or what, they just don't fucking care

just like when they talk alone. I'm pretty sure the person doesn't ask himself, geez am i talking to myself or is this friendly clown for real? They just talk to the friendly clown and even have some good times with him haha
