hi, my dog is now 1 1/4 old. but since 2 weeks she doesnt want to eat anymore.
She's happy, not sick... it is normal for pup to slack their ration? should i remove the food if she don't eat it? should i leave the food there? im getting anxious about this. thx, mickos

yeah I'd imagine that they can be like humans and finally get sick and tired of eating the same thing over and over and over..

Its no good changing there food... once you have one that works for them, stick with it.
Leave the bowl all day with food in it... chances are when he's hungry enough, he'll eat.

Unfortunately the vast majority of "pet" foods are made from byproducts and shit that they won't even put in human food. They cause a lot of diseases, cancers etc for companion animals. Maybe the dog just doesn't dig it.
Try to find a different brand of dog food with better ingredients? There are more companies who make more "natural" dog food now... try googling it. I'm sorry, I don't know much about dog food, just cat food. It might be more expensive but it would be better for the dog, and maybe it would be more appetizing to him?

Dogs have always eaten the "shit" humans don't eat... Thats how they became our "best friends".

Dog food is just made from the stuff it's made of today because it's cheap, but the dogs are considered less important than humans so it's now common practice to feed them that stuff. Of course I don't think animals should be domesticated, they should be in the wild eating fresh whatever they eat. If you rescue a dog, feed it whatever you can afford... right now my cat roomie is still eating her byproduct stuff while I gradually switch it over to more healthy food (hopefully she will go for it).
I hope it works out with the dog, Mickos! Maybe it was just that he was young and needed tons of food while developing. Ask a vet though, it might be something more serious if they starts eating less. We often eat less if we're ill.

Dogs have never been considered more important than humans. They traditionally eat our garbage... there is no "out in the wild".

on historical studies, dogs were born when humans started to be sedentary. Wolves, foxes and some sort of oldschool badgers and hyenas eated the rest of the carcass that humans killed and were left near the villages. Over time they lost their testosterone (instinc) - faws were shorter, fur and such...
