Our best stay at home defenseman, 2 of our best young assets AND Max Pac or McDo AND Chip or Lats... Woah! I know Komo is a free agent, but I'm fairly sure he will re-sign here. Also, Vinny is top 10 for sure but at this point Crosby and Malkin say hello for spots #2 and #3 |

| Coolness: 93575 | I dunno...theyre not as complete of players in my book. I just see Vinny, and he does everything but drop the gloves. Crosby and Malkin, yeah theyre good players, but crosby has a weak shot. Malkin needs lacks physicality. No doubt that Malkin and Crosby are worth more cuz theyre younger, and they may very well peak at a level of where Vinny will reach. But right now, Vinny can do it all. Crosby and Malkin can not. They need each-other. Vinny was doing it all by himself in 03/04 when you had richards-st louis together. And he still can.
And LEcavlier is locked up for 10 more years. but yeah, its a steep price. Hopefully the asking price is a little less. That's still overpayment for 1 player IMO. 3 active players, our most promising offensive defensemen (something which wereally ned on the PP). I pull the trigger if we keep Gorges and they take a guy like Weber. Dont forget that lightning is nowhere near cup contention, they are in rebuild mode whereas we are in cup drove mode, we cant let go of too many roster players with this good a chemistry. Plack I get, Vinny replaces him and does 2-3 times better, Higgins also weve been doing fine without him and while I really like Subban's shot and other offensive abilities i dont mind letting him go. Gorges is what hurts us in his trade. Lets not forget MANY draft picks are involved most likely including the habs first or firsts for 2+ years. |

Kommy's a good defense but he's definatly expensable.. the K-bro's we can live without (especially Andre's salary), we can defiantly get rid of both higgins and Plek's.. they have to make room for 11 mill a season.. kommy's a whoppin 5 mill and doesnt score more than 5 goals and Andre's almost at 4 so just the two of them would clear some room.. i don't think they should trade Paciorety or any of the up-n-comers though.. :) |
