Just to make you all shut the fuck up:

1979: Saddam officially took over Iraq. His Baathist party funded by the US.

1980 to 1986: Iraq and Iran square off in a vicious war. Chemical and biological weapons were used to help defeat the Shiites of Iran. In 1986, a ceasefire was made and Saddam Hussein is regarded as a hero for the Arab community. The war was initially seen as a huge threat by the US, thinking that the soviets would take advantage of the situation and move in on the arab countries, as they have been trying to do for a while. During this time Kurdish rebels were also gassed, thousands were killed.

1990 to 1991: Over a dispute of oil prices and oil control, Iraq attempts to take over Kuwait with plans to attack Saudi Arabia. A US led force intervenes in the matter, saving Kuwait and destroying most of hte Iraqi military. The UN sends in weapons inspectors to help force hte Iraqis to destroy weapons of mass destruction including VX Nerve agent, anthrax, and mustard gas.

1993: Iraq violates the terms of surrender and banishes UN weapons inspectors from Iraq, leading to further bombing by the US. Inspectors are back in.

1998: Weapons inspectors leave Iraq under order of the UN.

2002: The US start developing a plan to remove Saddam Hussein from power.

2002: Weapons Inspectors are allowd back in.

2002: Colin Powel presents the US case for war to the UN, citing 10 year old information, cloudy pictures of trucks, distorted phone conversations, and the claim that because weapons inspectors haven't found anything yet that Iraq is indeed hiding something.

2002: Iraq gives in 12000 page document plus other information on the weapons arsenol of Iraq. The report is subjected to editing by various countries so that over 2000 pages were cut off. Canada says a decision can not be made without the full report.

2002/2003: Hans Blix reports nothing of seriousness except for Al-samouid 2 missles which have a range of 159km, 9km longer than UN regulations. Iraq destroys them. Other than that, no weapons of mass destruction was found.

2003: A draft resolutoin was flatly rejected, the UN did not authorize war.

2003: War in Iraq starts again.

So as you can see, the US has no right to attack Iraq. It is illegal under international law. Removing saddam is one thing, killing women and children over it is another folks. The very first attack on Iraq wounded 14 people, including a child and his mother, and killed a jordanian woman. All innocent civilians.

If you still think Iraqis should die, then I think you should die. It's only fair...

funny how history classes are tought in school..
considering the sole purpose for the class is to learn from our mistakes, so history does not repeat itself..

thing is, history class never teaches you about all the blunders that our governments make, so we can actually learn from them.. instead the americans learn about how great their fore fathers were..

I think the USA has a lawless leader and weapons of mass destruction.

To quote Bill Maher: "How bad do you have to suck to lose a popularity contest with Saddam Hussein?"
