Coolness: 131640	oh, dont think im against it, im all with it. im just saying that chances are after a comment like that, you either : 1) stop receiving gifts from that person completely, 2) you get cash instead, 3) that whole circle of people that were there do either 1 or 2. or the rarest: 4) they get it , and they try to know you better. give a chance to all these to happen, you have 25% chance to get what you want next year. Coolness: 131640	some people express their feelings better than other. maybe they think honnesty is a better value than your way of receiving gifts yogurt. i think that said the same way , can be pretty devastating . but again , if thats how they were raised over there, it can mean total shit to them (not as devastating) and i respect that. Coolness: 49205	Aint not the gift that count but the intention behind. In that point of view Sour's reaction may seem unapropriate. But i dont judge this guy hes a good fellow i just project my personal experience and that comment hurted my because : i did the same few years ago when my mother offer me a scarf that i didnt like the color, i was not happy and i told my mom (i probably said the same thing that sour's told), she was somehow hurt. Before she died from cancer two years later she wrote me a letter and this incident was mentioned. she felt guilty because she felt she wasnt able to please me. So after reading the letter that i was feeling guilty myself of being a dick. Mom was not very rich and we seldom made gift so that ugly scarf is one of my only souvenir. ironic isnt it?
