PANAJI Le gouvernement de l'État touristique indien de Goa a interdit samedi toutes les soirées dansantes prévues sur les plages de la station lors des fêtes de fin d'année, en raison des attentats islamistes qui ont frappé Bombay tout proche fin novembre. «Prenant en considération toutes les dimensions (du problème), nous avons décidé que les fêtes sur les plages ne seront pas autorisées du 23 décembre au 5 janvier», a déclaré à la presse le premier ministre de l'État de Goa (sud), Digamber Kamat. Cette décision, qui était prévisible, intervient alors que la célébrissime station touristique et ancienne colonie portugaise enregistre des annulations en pagaille d'Occidentaux redoutant un nouvel attentat après ceux de Bombay perpétrés du 26 au 29 novembre à 600 km au nord de Goa (172 tués, dont 26 étrangers et neuf assaillants). Ce petit État du sud de l'Inde et ses plages paradisiaques au bord de la mer d'Arabie est l'un des joyaux touristiques du sous-continent. Quelque 2,6 millions de touristes, dont 400.000 étrangers, s'y rendent chaque année, parmi lesquels 60% de Britanniques et de plus en plus de Russes. Mais «les arrivées de touristes ont déjà baissé de 20%», a constaté Ralf D'Souza, président de l'association des tour-opérateurs de Goa, lequel déplore des «annulations de Russie et du Royaume-Uni». Plusieurs pays occidentaux, comme les États-Unis, la Grande-Bretagne ou l'Australie, ont conseillé à leurs ressortissants d'éviter Goa et ses centaines de boites de nuit et soirées en plein air à l'occasion des fêtes de Noël et de la Saint-Sylvestre. Israël, dont quatre citoyens ont été tués par le commando islamiste de Bombay, a prévenu que Goa «pourrait être la cible d'attentats commis par des extrémistes islamistes», à l'instar de ce qu'il avait déjà dit après le 11 septembre 2001. |

Les locaux me disait qu'ils étaient de plus en plus stricte, et mon chum a faillit ce faire arrêter parce qu'il fumait une smoke dans la rue... Ils viennent de bannir la cigarette dans les endroit publique (depuis octobre). Et essayer pas de trouver du Goa a Goa... j'ai pas réussit! |

 Coolness: 685630 | In the UK, there have currently been laws implemented that require clubs that host a musical event of certain types of music (DnB, grime, dubstep, hiphop, etc.. all the 'urban' music) to provide the police with full information of each DJ playing, specifically including their ethnicity, to determine if the night will be a possible risk of violence or terrorism.

We've got it lucky as all fuck over here. Where not so lucky, there actually this kind of stuff here too, its just that rave is mostly full of white people. If you where spinning only at hip hop party you would have some problems with police and security too. |

| Coolness: 685630 | yeah, but in the UK, the biggest 'rave music' is DnB and Dubstep.. Grime is more the UK version of hiphop, so it's a given that they're gonna be watched.. But Dubstep and DnB events are also on the watch-list..
And it's not just 'problems' that they're having; club/venue owners actually have to inform the police what style of music is being played and what ethnicity the DJs are or they just get shut down and fined if the cops find out about a party that didn't supply the information. They're actually doing racial profiling of raves and club nights over there. |
