better acid, better ecstasy... i don't know about the other ones but... why? is is because the labs have changed their recipes? they can't get access to the good materials? or is it because the people were impressed when they were young and now they're old so the drugs don't work as well on them? please tell me! :p |

 Coolness: 150420 | I am going to assume that most people think drugs in the past were better because the drugs actually were better. If you want to know why, I'm going to guess that drugs back then weren't as cut as they are now. There's also the possibility that these users have built up a sort of tolerance to drugs they're doing. |

 Coolness: 106075 | Well technically, there is now reason why drugs should be any less potent or "pure" than in the past. If you are buying sketchy drugs, it just means that you have a bad pusher.
Just when was "back in the days"? the 70's, the 80's the 90's? Chances are if the drug is not illegal yet, it will be easier to produce and you may have a better chance of getting quality stuff. Take GHB for example, back in 92, you could buy it over the counter in health food stores. Today you have to buy it off the streets and you never realy know where it comes from or if it quality stuff. Since most of the party drugs where made illegal before the rave thing emerged, I'm guessing that the conditions in witch they where made in the 80's and 90's, are pretty much the same as today. Also, your body builds up a tolerance pretty quickly to drugs such as mdma, lsd, 2cb... so the more you take the less you feel. I can say one thing for sure, the weed and the lsd are waaaaaaaay more potent today than when I was a teen. As for mdma, i haven t really seen much of a difference in quality. Actually, it may have gotten a bit better. I, however, am a lot more tolerant to the stuff. |

i think i remember hearing reading somewhere at least as far as MDMA is concerned it is much less pure than it's ever been...i think this has been determined by taking the average purity of MDMA seized by the police, the statistics show that the purity has been declining (on average) since about the late 90s... having said this, nothing in theory prevents you from getting pure stuff, if you know the right person then you can get the pure stuff, the best way to do this is to do the following...first find someone who sells mdma who is reliable and that you trust, second buy yourself a test kit, third tell the person you are going to buy it from that you want to buy a lot say 5g of MDMA (that should run you about 300-400 bucks and it's roughly the equivalent of 50 caps), tell the person that your buying from that you want pure mdma, nothing else, and tell them that your gonna test it infront of them and if it's below a certain threshold you don't want it, say atleast 90% pure, this way if it's lower than the figure you set with him you can ask for a discount, at least this way if it's lower than the threshold you set the guy who is selling it will more likely be honest with... Ofcourse, don't get someone to order something for you especially some sketchy drug dealer and then refuse to take and pay for it, that's gonna be a fast way to get the beating of your life from someone, try to deal with someone who is reasonable and who understands exactly what it is you want... |

i started taking drugs in 2004 really and never took a lot of them, and i think i get better drugs now just because i have better connections. i've had one unexplainable strong acid trip on just one dose that i am still wondering whether it was the circumstances or the acid that made it happen... but those ravers man, the ones that were there before me, like in 1998 or 2000 or something... they always say they had better drugs and i can't know because i didn't try them. and people saying that LSD was really different in the 60s... |

But from what i do know all these past few years not that great, when i first started in 1998 wow high times big time with 1 or two pills to last the whole weekend . The last time i went out i had to do more than that to get the same effect! maybe tolerance maybe cuttimg corners but hey it just ain't the same! |

Methamphetamine has probably gone down in quality because of the restrictions on Ephedrine and other chemicals involved with the manufacturing. I'm pretty sure that there are enough economic/political reasons to argue that drugs are definately not what they were 10 years ago.
I did notice that drugs in montreal were particularly bad compared to out west but i haven't really done enough to flat out say that this is still or ever was a truth. I will admit that the people that use drugs , using [ rave.ca ] as my statistical sample, are getting dumber and dumber. This would however contradict the argument that drugs are getting better. Again this is just speculation especially since alot of people are french and thus would obviously be a little slow with or without the drugs. |

--->din annee 80 debut 90 yavais encore dle vrai cocaine colombienne dans la poudre.. --->din annee 70 le LSD c'etait du lsd60..maintenant c du lsd25.. --->din annee 90 tes gellules de mdma cetait des 400mg..maintenant c 200mg.. etc..etc..etc.. {Pis rassurez-vous..les francais seront toujours plus brillants qu'les anglais ;} |
