i feel really really stupid selling that dark angel collection i had, i had 3 dredought like that, (new ed i mean, not v1, allthou i had some those look like ass) had the dual lascannon / thunder claw ripped out of the space wolf one, i traded a friend , cant beleive he accepted lol :D man people who play tabletop warhammer are RARE as that movie. people who paint them even more, and ones that do a good paint job like you did are drops in the water. i spent the last year wanting to rebuild a complete army, might go for some imperium tank bataillon or go back to darkangels, just have on guy i know beside you that still plays. again can you define the movie your talking ? damnatus doesnt seems to assure the really hardcore w40k universe freak, its rare that games workshop refuse fan submissions, that tells me something. so you must be either talking the warhammer 40k : bloodsomthing or that upcoming movie they want to release ? whitch are you talking about? i feel they are just going to use them as sequences in the next game release.. hope not ! coodos on the that other drednought thats hiding in the back of that cool tau ! | Coolness: 685685 | heh I've got a couple of friends that play also and my roommate, but I haven't played in a while.. The new edition came out a few months ago and I still haven't gone through reading all the changes, though I get the gist of the most of them..
The Dark Angels are awesome, I really love the robes that the models have, makes them look really fuckin' cool! If you want I can put together an RAR with the latest rulebook scanned for you, and the latest Dark Angel codex (Space Marines just got a new Codex this month, holy fuck some shit is awesome in there.. 144 pages, a ton of background stories, some amazing pages of painted models) What I'm interested now though, as much as I really want to get my Necron army huge and have a nice Ultramarines force going, is making an Apocalypse army/formation.. Apocalypse is rules for games over 3000 points (there have been some 50,000 point games that last a whole weekend with Apocalypse) and there's extra shit you can do, field titans and shit.. And there's a battle formation called Masters of the Chapter, and I want to put one together.. So far I've got it worked out at 2800 points for 35 models :P The movie I was talking about was Damnatus.. It's aparently really good for an indie low-budget movie, the thing is they wanted to distribute it, and under german copyright law, anything you distribute, including independant fan-made stuff, you're automaticaly considered a copyright owner.. So in releasing that movie, GW would have lost their copyright over anything 40k portrayed in the movie, and they couldn't release or distribute their products without giving part of the sales/profits to the guys that did the movie.. The new movie that's being worked on is an animated movie, and it's being done by the team that did the intro movie to the first Dawn of War, so I'm actually really, really looking forward to seeing that, 'cause that intro was awesome as hell! |

i just sold my figurines, which i regret now i know lots of stuff like gorka morka and the like, w40k and epic have being goldminds i have being cherrishing in the dark for a long time, dont know lots around that play, i even worked in a comic store / tabletop game . and i was one of 5 people that played. i have lost track of them. i have all vampire / shadowun books too :D i have downloaded the apocalypse rulebooks too, its like an epic/w40 merge i know, i used to play 20,000 points per army games, sometimes 4 per table, ya didnt want to see an ork army at that size, 10 pulsa rokit is too much for a bataillon of 5 drednought. damn thanks for explaining the damnatus copyrite stuff, i didnt understand it like that with what i read. hey being a crafty guy like you are , if you want to do banner / robes, i used to take old white sheets ( bed sheets, pilow sheets ) the more used fabric the better, you can paint them up use the ink to make blood drips old blood stains from previous wars, or just get the color out like crazy, dont know if you knew that trick , i bannered lots in my army. man, now i have to run to the store and get a set of chimera / basilisk / adeptus assasinatorium / and a librarian div. thanks tha ll really rip my wallet ;) |
