Hi all, i have 2 tables at home 1- i think needs a wire change becasue a buzz is comming from it, i tested everything and it seems to be comming from the crappy rca wire that was attached to it....A friend of mine opened it up and changed the wire. It was good for a while now it isn't. Anyone willing to help me change it or anyone know wht they r doing to help me change it?

2- table i think that the motor is dying now do i change the table or is it worth fixing? How do i know, when i stop the table it keeps rolling after stop..Not alot but enough to worry me!
I'm feeling sexy right now..

Tecch are highly sensitive pieces of machinary, don't fuck around with them yourself.

Take them to Solotech (St Joseph n 4th ave)

Cost you about $100 a table +/-

The 2nd table absolutely it is worth it to get it repaired.
Tech's are built to last.

When you get the cables fixed, have them put grounded cables on them both, that way you no longer have to worry about connecting the grounds to your mixer

$700 new, think about it like this
if it cost you $100 every 5 years to have an inspection and mise a nouveau of your car, its well worth it.

And when you get the cables replaced, have them put grounded cables on, this way you never need to fuck around with putting the grounds on the mixer again

about 1 week yup.

I just had the cables on both tables repaired, a general cleaning and inspection and replaced the tone arm on one, and it came out about $300 total

Just the inspection + cable change + labour is $108 on one table

Explain to them the problem with the stop/start on the 2nd table, most likely a simple adjustment, this happens often on techs
But they can give you an estimate right then an there, and you can make your decision based on that

If you check out the 1200 FAQ online they have info on how to adjust the brake... it's actually quite easy.
I'm feeling new records right now..

1200's have changed (very little) design like only 3-4 times since the 70s. They are REALLY built to last. All pieces can be ordered even for an MKI. I used to repair a shitload of these back in the days. One thing we used to do to all tables coming into the shop was to replace the wiring/grounding. The cables on a 1200 are beyond inadequate, get some real good shielded cables in there and ground them properly. Also, your pitch needs to be adjusted at least once a year, every 3 months if you take them out to parties (temperature change = metal dilatation = pitch drift).

100$ per table is overpriced, but very standard so don't expect better deals unless you have a friend with some skills with an iron. The whole operation...replacing cables, tightening the break and tuning the pitch, takes about 15 minutes if you have one hand tied behind your back.
