So I'm looking through all the junk I had at my moms place and I came across a sortie sign which is still glowing... On the back is a radioactive symbol... Pretty cool... Big warning saying "do not open". I have a feeling it's been glowing for 20 years... It looks radioactive also...

I'm feeling whatever right now..

Probably from one of the buildings we broke into many years ago... I'm going to figure something to do with it... I'm sure it could be put to use... I think it's safe though...

"The exit sign contains radioactive material. For disposal, the unit has to be returned to the manufacturer or Atomic Energy of Canada Limited only."

Scratch that. It's probably safe since it's still glowing, means it didn't seep out or anything.

But Thierry, feel free to open it and rub it wherever you like, except for my balls. I'd rather keep my sperm count high and fertile, thankyouverymuch.
I'm feeling teh peace (^^)y right now..

Uh oh...how old is this thing, EXACTLY??!!

Its Maybe Tritium (approximately 12.32 years life)

We use this in our scopes(night sight) and compasses in the army. The low-energy beta radiation from tritium cannot penetrate human skin, so tritium is only dangerous if inhaled or ingested so dont worry about the silly dangerous radiations, hehe. The emitted electrons from small amounts of tritium cause phosphors to glow so as to make self-powered lighting devices called trasers which are now used in watches(like mine) and exit signs...and I hope YOUR EXIT SIGHT IS PART OF IT

cuz...

In the other hand it is Radium, half-life of 1602 years and extremely radioactive

Which can cause bone cancer and other disorders. :-/ Its been use in the Willy jeep of WWII and Vietnam(illuminating the instruments). But now uses of radium have been banned in most countries for decades, its why I asked how old EXACTLY is this thing. If you want to get rid of it...DONT PUT IT IN THE GARBAGE! Call the atomic Energy of Canada cuz whatever if its Radium or Tritium, if it leak, it will harm mother nature.

But if I was you, ill call the atomic energy Canada right the frakking now!! Just in case it's Radium
I'm feeling inspired right now..

LOL, you cant. Even harmless(If you dont eat it) Tritium are use as boosting fuel for Thermonuclear weapons. Making a nuclear bomb like Hiroshima(15 Kilotons) a thermonuclear device 1000 times more [ powerfull...ca ] in megatons! Only 4 grams per warhead is needed.

I'm sure this thing is over 12 years old but it's not shining bright or even as bright as I remember in the past. It's almost faded... But it shines enough to see for sure. Anyways I emailed them awaiting an response.

in the garbage?
It's like the water bottles in airports. They confiscate them from passengers as they are boarding planes, in case they're "explosive terrorist liquid threats". But after confiscating them, they just throw them in a garbage can. What about a bomb disposal unit? Wouldn't a garbage can full of these potentialy "explosive" water bottles be dangerous in an airport?
Idiocy is rampant...
I'm feeling renewed right now..
