 Coolness: 41475 | I was considering attending that party not having been able to afford Intense and recreational substances, but I find it quite pompous, and disappointingly lame to hold an event with the name "The New Rave" at a DANCE HALL.
This is not even the Palais du Bingo or some church basement. This is a 2nd story of the Dollarama DANCE HALL. Now this party intitled "THE NEW RAVE" will set the standard for 3rd quarter 1st post 2K decade. Holding Raves in dance hall. First established venues, then security, then fixed raving locations, now ACTUAL *DANCE HALLS*. I can't wait to see the new RAVE held at RAVE at 123 St-Street. You should all take a trip in the 195, there are still a few places in Lachine where you might be able to hold an actual Rave. Sorry for this rant, but I was hoping to rave. |

You don't know how this began or how it's ended. As a matter of fact, you don't know me at all. And don't hold your breath. I went skateboarding, and it's not because you associate "jerking off" to "doing shit all", that my jerking off is doing shit all. As a matter of fact, one part I did in a porn video is me jerking off. Now as your "coolness" level is quite high, I also assume that your iTard (R)(TM) quotient also is. You may, like some short, long-haired freak I once knew believe that you're changing the world in your little rave universe, with your student and phone-working scenesters who haven't seen much street or much life at all. And you may. I think I'm changing the world by sexually and emotionally fulfilling businessmen, accountants, journalists, doctors, teachers and other wealthy and influent professionals. I also think that I'm changing the world inside and outside my hood, as well as taking care of my hood and my city. I am a citizen of my body, the places I am, the places I go to and the places I stay in. I shovel a parking space in the snow, knowing it will remain for the taking. I remove rocks and stray objects from skate spots, knowing other skaters won't get bothered or hurt by them. I train as much as I can and I try to eat sensibly. I also respect my wealthy objects, since I know what comes may also go. My 4-month old iPod hasn't got a single hairline scratch on it, nothing touches it besides the pocket and my hands. I wash my jeans inside-out and I dry my t-shirts and even my tank-tops by hanging them. I respect the people who are where I've been, knowing they, too, may become better. I look at crackheads and other bums in the eye. I avoid confronting the geeks because I know that will lead them to regress even further. You may think that you are better than me because you are working hard at accomplishing your dreams. Remember that these are YOUR dreams. My dream may be to exceed my personal jerk-off record of 11 times in a single day. Got it, geek? |

Seriously, you might be doing helpfull things for the world, but that doesn't place you above others in any way... especially when you sound like "ok i did my part of the job for humanity so fuck you all, seen ?", while at the same time you're talking to people doing twice as much as you. Instead of jerking off your own mind with your supernatural deeds, you should look around you a little and notice that you're far from being exceptional on that level. Your narrow and personal vision of the world doesn't encompass everybody's, so you should maybe open up a little and respect people who aren't thinking like you do. (Who am I to say this ? I may not be better than you, but you should consider what I say anyway.) |

You may all actually believe that you are accomplishing something great, venturing into business or securing your future. The sad reality is that akin petty high school thugs stealing pepople's lunch money, you set-up "great events" behind the shield of your so-called honourable intentions. The truth is that you set something up on paper, to be realized at a later date with informaion to be disclosed at a later date. The promoter, the DJ's, the dealers and others "in the coup" make money to pay for VERY trivial shit like rent, food, and even fuel your own drug addictions and even worse, your record label dreams. So laugh all you want. You are all choirboys next to me. And you'd do well to call the cops. My parents did, so did many schools I attended, and the bank I had an appointment at a few weeks ago too. |
